(-Tum se hi; Jab we met.)

"I like your room, you know?" I remarked honestly while sitting on the small, pastel blue couch that she bought recently from a second-hand market in Koti with money she made as a junior advocate. I was proud of her when she bought it and showed it off to me with a goofy selfie of herself being comfortable on the small love seat.

Her pride was too cute to forget.

"I know, right! That couch made it even more aesthetic." She said, "shall I get the sponge changed? It's not very fluffy..." She mumbled while plopping herself next to me.

"Hmm... I think it's fine though..." I said while looking at her. Her mood has somewhat lightened, but not entirely.

"How are you feeling?" I asked while tucking a loose strand of hair. I... Can't seem to take my hand of her... It's too frustrating to do so...

"Hmm... I feel exposed." She stated as a matter of fact. "You seriously know every little secret of mine. Even my family." She pouted. It was not supposed to be a very pressing concern, but I feel guilty. I agree with her. But on a low key, I don't want to reveal things. But then again, it would be toxic...

AAAAAAAHHHHHH! WHAT THE FUCK!

"I'll grant you two questions," I said as if I were a God who emerged after years of meditation.

"Oh, my! Please bless this mortal soul! Bless this filthy being with your mighty brightness of virtue!" She giggled while sitting on her knees as if surrendering to me.

Don't do this Kiran! My mind is not working right...

"Ugh! Please stop!" I requested while a blush crept up my face.

"Wow! The Almighty can also blush! Holy-" she kept on shouting like one of those pastors. This woman!

I lifted and placed her on my lap, my hands resting on the slopes of her curvy waist "what do you want to know about me?" I asked while closing the distance between us as she adjusted herself to straddle me.

Her lips...

"Hmm... There are a bunch of things I am curious about." She pondered.

"Mhmm..."

"How about your friends? Do you have any best friends?" She asked casually while hanging her arms over my shoulders, her fingers oh so lightly playing with the ends of my hair.

Right. It IS casual. Friends ARE casual.

"I don't have best friends." I confided sincerely. A soft smile was playing on my lips by just seeing her close to me.

"Then, who is Adhvaith to you?..." She asked genuinely.

"He is... He's just..." I sighed while falling back, "he just accompanies me. I-" another sigh, "I don't know what I am to him or what he is to me, but we both get each other. That's all..." I try to explain.

"Oh... I understand." She smiled. She didn't question me further. I think she understood what I was trying to say.

"You have one last thing to ask." I reminded, "I said you can ask me two questions." My hands fiddled with the hem of her Kurti.

"Hmm... Your family?" She asked before grasping my moving hand that enjoyed the little exposed bit of skin on her hips, "It tickles, Vijay..." She whispered while biting the shell of my ear.
