2 days later

Ereni

"Ok, Clint, you ready?” Bruce asked

“ As ready as I'll ever be.”

“One, two, three,” Bruce counted down the time before Mr. Clint disappeared.

After Mr. Stark had given us the Pym particles and made a few adjustments to the time machine, he said that it should be good to go, and so here we were, making sure it worked by having Mr. Clint test it out.

"Ok, now I'm going to bring him back,” Dr. Banner announced.

“Please let it work,” I silently prayed.

"And now!” Bruce said, pushing some buttons and having Mr. Clint come back. Well?” he asked, looking at a shocked Mr. Clint.

“It worked,” Clint murmured with a smile on his face. “It really worked!”

Everyone couldn’t help but get excited as well, and I was so delighted, I didn’t know what to do with myself.

"Ok, so now that we know that it works, what's the next step?” Natasha asked.

"Well if we're going to be going back into the past to get the Stones we have to know exactly where,” Bruce explained while looking at us.

"Well I know where three out of six of the Infinity Stones were around that time," I confessed, “But we will have to figure out where the others are.”

"And somebody's gonna have to find Thor,'' Bruce explained, and we all just looked at him because no one had heard from Thor in five years.

I guess he couldn't handle losing to Thanos, so he just disappeared.

But if he didn’t want to be found, he was doing a bad job about it, because Nebula was talking to me about how she’d found him when passing through New Asgard.

"But no one knows where Thor is, no one has heard  from him in years,” Natasha explained.

"I know where he is,'' I announced, and they all turned to me. "Rocket and I shall go and get him, while you guys try and figure out where the other Stones are.”

"Sounds like a plan to me,” Clint and Natasha responded.

"I'm coming with you and Rocket just in case Thor gives you guys any trouble about coming,” Bruce added.

"Haha, believe me, Mr. Banner, I can be very persuasive”, I said, while walking out to go tell Rocket of our leaving.

I hope Thor does not give us any problems I said to myself.

***********

New Asgard was smaller than I’d thought, but at least the people had a place to call home and that was what mattered.

"And where exactly is he supposed to be?” Rocket asked while looking around at the people that were walking by.

"Well, I am not sure, but I'm sure someone around here does know, so let's ask one of them,'' I said, getting ready to walk up to an elderly couple.

"Are you looking for Thor?” I stopped in my tracks and turned around to see… a Valkyrie?

I did not know her personally but she and I have crossed paths here a few times.

I went to hug her and she hugged me back. "How are you?'' she asked while pulling away to look at me.

"I've been taking it one day at a time,” I said, looking down at Rocket and reminding him of his encouraging words.

"That's good to hear.”

“And how have you been?” I asked, not wanting to seem rude.

"I'm fine but I couldn't help but overhear you say that you are looking for Thor?”

"Do you know where he is?” Rocket asked.

“Yes I do, but he won't see you”, she said while throwing more fish into the net.

“Do not worry about that part, can you kindly point us in the direction of where he is staying?”

“He won’t see you,” she repeated again, but pointed to a house.

“Thor! It is us, Ereni and your friends that you haven’t heard from in five years!” I yelled as Dr. Banner knocked on the door.

The door opened to reveal a rock-like man“Ahh! My apologies, sir, we –”

He cut off his sentence when he saw us, and then looked to Dr. Banner. “I know you! You’re the guy that fought Thor back in Skaraa!”

"Um, yeah I wasn't myself fully back then,” Banner explained, rubbing his neck. "Anyway, is Thor here by any chance or do you know where he is?”

"Oh yeah, he's in here! Come right on in,” he said, moving out the way. “Thor! You have visitors.”

We saw Thor, who rushed to us. “Ah! My friends, how have you been!” He started giving us all hugs while I tried not to stare. What in the name of Titan happened to him?

“Um, Thor, buddy, what happened to you?” Banner asked. “You-you look…”

“Like melted ice cream,” Rocket finished.

“It is nothing but a few pounds, friends,” he said with a smile. “Now, what can I do for you all?”

"I will just be over there if you need my assistance,'' I said to Dr. Banner, letting him take this one and if Thor gave him any trouble and refused to come with us I would have to use my powers then, but I hoped it didn’t come to that.

"You know if it wasn't for the eye that I had given him, I wouldn't have recognized him,” Rocket said. “He looks like Santa after Christmas.”

"Rocket! That is awful" I scolded, but tried not to laugh.

"No, I will not do it!”

Rocket and I turned to see what was happening.

“Thor, just think it –”

''No! I will not be giving my assistance this time!”

"There's beer in the car,” I announced, hoping that would work or I would have to use my powers instead.

“... What kind?”
