Getting chased is now a daily thing, but this could be the last time.
Because there's a cliff leading to a lava lake under our feet and the army was slowly catching up.
There was nowhere to run.
In the distance, we could hear Despoina and the General arguing about how to capture us, Despoina insisting that we should come back unharmed, while the General had his own ideas.
I held Techno's hands tightly. "We did our jobs." I smiled in realization for the thousandth time.
Techno squeezed myhand. "They're working together again."
"This is it. Either we jump and end it once and for all," I turned to the prince.
"Or we try our best to try and fight them off so we can escape." He finished for me, pressing his forehead against mine with a smile as the soldiers arrived, shouting above the bubbling of the lava.
"So basically you mean die on our own terms, or die trying to live for a while longer, till they corner us again?" I teased.
"Well, it's your choice to pick." Techno smiled, pressing a kiss to my lips.
