Ch 18: Crisis on Earth X Pt 6:

"Clarity? Are you okay?" Barry asked, as she exited the time vault suit in her arms. Not at all changed like she said she was gonna be.

"Yeah, mhm, yeah, I'm fine. Thanks guys. Again. I just...I'm not ready..." Clarity shrugged sheepishly. "I'll change when I have to."

"Are you sure?" Oliver asked her in concern.

"Positive." She knew what she had to do now, she knew what she needed. She was going to make another Clarity original, and this time it would be a fit for a hero. She glitched down to Star lab's storage floors to find her sewing machine. Tossing her old costume into the bin that contained her old suits.

"Alright Cisco, you've been good, but I can do so much better." She breathed as she found the machine. "Prepare to be out designed."

Meanwhile in the speed lab Felicity was talking to Curtis.

"You're kidding me." Curtis remarked completely floored as he stared at Felicity from where he sat in front of the monitor. "Are you kidding me?" He repeated his answer as a question. "This feels like a really bad wedding prank."

"Not kidding, Curtis. Clarity slept with Killer Frost." Felicity replied, typing a few things on her tablet with a disapproving shake of her head standing alone in the speed room. "Out of all the people at that wedding she goes for her. It's not even funny! After everything I've told her about needing to take better care of herself, about how much she worries me, she worries me even more by staying out all night long, doesn't even text me to tell me where she is, probably cause she knew I wouldn't approve. I bet she didn't even break her phone. She was probably too busy having sex with a super villain to bother with a text. God, what the hell was she even thinking? What is wrong with her? We used to see everything the same way and now she's just totally off the damned rails. You don't see me dumping Oliver to go make out with Black Siren. One villain is already creepily obsessed with her is she trying to get a second one too? Curtis, what's with that face your making? There are supposed to be flames in your eyes. Where is your outrage?"

"Uh, oh, not here, I guess. It's just that." He cleared his throat angling his head. "I was actually referring to the Nazi's..." Curtis objected. "From what I've heard from Cisco, this Killer Frost personality Caitlin has is actually on team Flash's side now and, regardless of the fact that the partner she chose  used to be on the uh side of evil, it kind of sounds like your shaming Clarity for having sex and that's." Curtis adjusted his glasses awkwardly. "That's not the coolest thing to do. Especially to your friend."

"I don't care that she had sex, Curtis. I care who she did it with. Cold temperatures send her into hibernations, water shocks her like no tomorrow, she could have gotten hurt or gone into a coma. She's been so reckless lately, I don't even think she cares. She's not looking out for herself. So, I'm trying my best to do it for her but she's shutting me out, and I don't know what to do to make her see sense. I really don't. A little support would be nice."

Curtis sighed, "I'd bet that Clarity knows her weaknesses better than anyone. Instead of worrying about her so much, why don't you just trust that if she gets into something she doesn't want to be in she'll come to you. That's the best advice I have right now. Is she helping you run a search program through central?"

"No, I wish." Felicity replied. "She's going to try to focus really hard and do some thing with her fancy meta powers. I'm....I'm on my own on this."

"You want us to come, then? I mean, Dig's on the mend, but Dinah, Rene, and I can be up there in a--what's another word for "Flash"?" Curtis wondered. "Glitch, I guess? But we'd need a teleporter."

"No, I need you guys in the bunker, expanding
our search for the Earth-Xers. I linked S.T.A.R. Labs' system up with ours so you can know what's going on as we do." Felicity denied him, even if she would like the added support their current mission was more important.
