Her eyes left their son and met Grayson's sparkling eyes. Words seemed to be lost as a deep passion filled the air. Heartache once felt seemed to filter away in that very moment.

"Really?"

A firm nod accompanied a definite reply of "Really."

"Are you sure?" Doubt. Doubt over the past would only surface briefly.

"I've never been more sure of anything in my life." Assurance to a future with one another.

"But what about..."

A raised hand stopped the words that neither of them wanted to bring to the present.

"We've had our lives ruled over, controlled even, for far too long. It's time we look to the future, take each day as it comes and learn to be just us."

"We don't need to be married for that." A small smile enhanced with sparkling eyes.

Sparkling eyes that were met with a grin.

"No we don't but there's no way I'm risking losing you for any reason."

"Oh really?" Love filled eyes that searched the depths of those they'd captured so easily.

"Yes really. If we're married then I can at least hit you over the head with a rolling pin." A promise.

"Becoming violent as you get older huh?"

Grayson chuckled at the stupidness of the conversation and stood up slowly to take Nicholas to his cot. Josie watched and once again a fist gripped her heart.

He turned and she gasped.

If it were true that the eyes are the windows to the soul then she was looking at his... and nothing could tear her away. The young boy she'd first fallen in love with was back.

The pain they'd lived through was all but forgotten in that moment when two hearts were exposed and entwined as one. Two hearts that beat with the same rhythm. Two hearts that belonged together with no limits to the feelings or behaviours they had.

Eyes joined with the promise of a future filled with everything and more. Unspoken words of promise made their way through space and time to complete the circle once left broken.

She wasn't even aware that he'd moved until his hands reached down to hers. He pulled her up into his warmth.

With tender lips they met. They were free to love as they should. Memories caused by his father would always be the reason they pushed through problems to come out the other side. He no longer ruled their lives.

They were united. They were finally free and all that was left was the words to answer a emotion filled statement. Words that would forever change their lives. Words that would in their very essence fulfill the final piece of what some would call their destiny.

Words that proved that Nicholas Price was now and forever an obsolete reason for whatever life threw at them.

"Yes... yes Josie Mitchell. I will marry you."

OK. I KNOW IT ISN'T LONG  but let's face it you only wanted to hear the answer anyway :)

So... Are we happy? :D

An epilogue will follow in the next couple of days... you may want to read it.

Just an FYI... Concealed Consequences won't be updated at all until Pawned Virtue is finished as all the brothers make their way back into the story.
