*knock, knock*
"Come in" my principle yelled from inside his office door.

I opened the door and walked in. He motioned me to have a seat in front of his desk, I pulled out the chair and sat down.

My was heart beating so fast I thought it was going to jump out of my chest any minute.

I was in history which I'm glad to be missing but still as soon as the announcements came on and asked for me to go the office my heart nearly died.

My breathing has been extra fast an I can't get enough air.

My thoughts were taking over my mind. ' is he going to find out about the abuse?' or ' does he already know about it? If so is he going to question me?'
Oh god o don't think I could handle questions about that right now.

I think Mr. Anderson aka Mr. principal sensed my uneasiness.

"Relax, sweetheart. Your not in trouble or anything, Okay?" I nodded my head yes. Because I don't trust my voice to speak and not sound nervous or anxious.

There was another 2 knock on the door. "Come in, the doors unlocked" he yelled at whoever was at the door.

Who only knocks twice?

Two more people entered the room and came over 'n stood behind me. My breathing hitched, They were police officers.
'They know. They know.
They know! Omg. OMG.'My conscience yelled over and over again. Until the officer on my left snapped me out of my thoughts.

"Is this Ashlynn?"

"Yes" Mr. Anderson replied.

"Umm if you don't mind me asking. What's going on?" I asked anyone in general, confused.

Am I in trouble did I do some'm wrong?
Is it about home or not?

Oh god- stop overthinking.

Mr. Anderson cleared his throat before looking at the officers behind me for approval. When they nodded he then went on saying how deeply sorry he was which just made me more confused.

"your parents passed away, honey" the officer on my right said that, and I froze.

"We truly are sorry" he spoke again.

"H-how?" I stuttered.

"Car accident, we believe your step father and mother were drinking when it happened."

I just sat there not saying anything. While everyone else just stared at me comprehending this information.

"Okay" I randomly said. I think all three of them were shocked because I wasn't freaking out or anything.
