Chapter 20: Golden Hour

Kakatapos lang ng ikatlong klase nina Solo sa hapon kaya naman kaniya-kaniya na muna ng ginagawa ang mga kaklase ni Solo sa loob ng classroom nila.

Gun, Asla, and Techno were playing something on Asla’s ipad. As usual, Brandon was busy with his camera again. Luna was on her laptop and writing something— probably a novel. Yes, she’s a writer. Meen, Rin, and Ada are gossiping about something. Newt were reading a book, Jade was sleeping while Minrod spaced out.

While Solo, was just sitting on her chair. She wanted to talk to Minrod so bad after remembering her conversation with Justin. She has to move. She already started with Justin and now, she have to approach Minrod. But the latter was spacing out so she was looking for a perfect timing to approach him. Maybe after class.

“Why is he spacing out by the way?” she annoyingly murmured those words to herself. Well, she’s completely annoyed for the reason that Minrod was spacing out and she just can’t approach him like that— she can’t.

“Yes! I won again!” Gun suddenly hissed while laughing. “Yes!”

“Arg, this is annoying. I always lose.” Reklamo naman ni Asla na ngayon ay nakanguso na. “Let us win as well, Gun! Don’t be selfish!”

“What?” Gun chuckled and messed Asla’s hair. “You’re silly.”

“I think let’s play another game. A horror one.” Techno suggested. “Specimen Zero.”

“What’s that game about?” Asla asked. That’s why Techno started explaning.

Nang maintindihan na ng dalawa ang lalaruin nila ay saka lang sila nagsimulang maglaro. While on the other part of their room, Solo was crossing her arms across her chest and still completely annoyed.

She was annoyed now for 2 reason. First, Asla keep screaming in fear because of what they’re playing. And second, Minrod was still spacing out. She don’t know why she’s mad of Minrod for spacing out, she’s just annoyed. Tsk.

After 15 minutes, sa wakas ay dumating na rin ang guro nila para sa hulihang subject ng araw na iyon— which is PE class. Isang tikhim lang nito ay kaagad na bumalik sa rati ang lahat.

“Wear your PE uniforms for our PE class and proceed to the field right away. I’ll wait for you there.” Matapos niya itong sabihin ay saka ito kalmadong lumabas ng classroom nila.

Kaagad na tumayo si Solo at nagtungo sa locker niya sa likurang bahagi ng classroom nila para kunin ang PE uniform niya. Nang makuha na niya iyon ay saka sila magkasabay na pumunta nina Gun, Techno, at Asla sa CR doon sa palapag na iyon.

Solo looks so good on her PE uniform. It was a white so-called varsity jacket with light blue linings. Hanggang baba rin niya ang collar nito. Habang ang jogging pants naman nila ay kulay lighy blue, na may puting linings din, tapos ay pinaresan din ng puting sapatos.

“I wonder anong gagawin natin today.” Anang Asla na tapos ng magbihis. Nakaharap na ito sa malaking salamin at inaayos ang pagsuot ng scarf niya. “I’m excited tho.”

“Maybe we’ll going to play some games. Or perform some activities.” Sagot naman ni Solo.

“Hey, tapos na kayo?” Tanong ni Techno na ngayon ay nakasilip mula sa labas ng girls restroom. “Tara na.”

Tumango ang dalawa saka lumabas na ng CR. Nakasabay rin nila ang ilan sa mga kaklase nilang sina Ada at Luna. Sabay na rin silang lahat na pumunta sa school field katulad ng sinabi ng guro nila.

Nang makarating sila roon, sinalubong sila nito. “We’re going to do some sports activities today but only basketball for the boys and volleyball for the girls. Iyong ibang sports ay sa susunod na araw pa natin lalaruin.” Pinasadahan sila nito ng tingin. “Why? Because sports fest is approaching, so I have to awaken your skills so that you’ll excel in the sport your good at.”
