Chapter 13: Black Sticky Note

“I suggest you to move that one a little to the right,” Meen muttered, instructing Ada who’s now pinning some letters on the backdrop. “Don’t move it too much — alright, that’s enough. Cool.”

“Where should I put this one?”

“On the left upper part. You attach it there and make sure that it won’t make any glitches on the other designs.” Meen, the perfectionists, added.

“Brandon, is this too much?” Asla asked the latter as she was placing some garments on the table for some decors.

“It’s perfectly fine, since the flower fits in with the theme of our event.” Brandon asnwered.

“Uhm, thank you.”

It’s already Wednesday, a super duper busy day for every student committee. They have to work on with the tasks assigned to them, that’s why they really have to give their very best shot. And besides, this is not just a simple task, this is a grandiose event for the whole Linus Academy.

“Solo, can you help me carry this one, please?” Gun asked as he was pushing a double speaker. “Pushing this doesn’t make any sense at all. Pinapatagal lang nito ang trabaho nating dalawa.”

“Oo naman.”

Kaagad na kumilos si Solo at tinulungan si Gun sa pagbuhat noong double speaker, para hindi na rin ito masyadong mahirapan. The 2 of them planned of placing 10 speakers for the event, 5 speakers for each side of the stage that they just construct inside the complex.

“Ahm, excuse me. Coming thru,” anang Gun habang pasimpleng sumisilip sa dinadaanan nila para iwas disgrasya.

Galing pa sa Music Club ang mga speaker na ito na siyang hiniram nilang dalawa kaya naman medyo kinailangan pa nilang magbuhat. Hindi na rin sila nagpatulong sa mga miyembro ng nasabing club dahil na sa klase ang mga ito, at ayaw nilang makadistorbo.

And now, the speakers are all set up. They just have to set up the amplifiers now and connect the wires from the speakers to another device. Hinanda na rin nila ang iba pang nga electronic and music devices na hiniram lang din nila sa Musical Club, na maaaring magamit ng magiging DJ, na siyang pinsan ni Techno.

“This is cool. Now our job concerning the sound system is now plain and settled.” Nakangiting sabi ni Gun saka inakbayan ang nakapameywang na si Solo.

Even the lights, which is part of their tasks was already settled as well. Fortunately, silang dalawa ang may pinaka-madaling trabaho, kaya naman mabilis lang din nila itong natapos.

“We still have to rove in some of our Academy’s Club,” si Solo.

Gun nodded, “Urrr, chai. Pero mamaya na lang natin sila lapitan kapag lunch break or clubbing hours na.”

“Guys, we have some snacks for you! Snack time!” Anunsiyo ni Jade na siyang kakapasok lang sa loob ng complex.

May dala pa siyang limang box ng medium pizza na may iba-iba ring flavor. Kasunod naman nito sina Minrod at Newt na ngayon ay parehong may dalang drinks.

Kaagad na lumingon si Gun habang naka-akbay pa rin kay Solo, kaya naman napilitan ding sumunod sa paglingon ang isa.

“Sakto, gutom na ako.” Sabi ni Gun saka tumawa. “Tara, Solo. Kain.”

Hindi na nag-abalang umimik pa si Solo at sumunod na lang kay Gun nang magsimula itong maglakad. Naka-akbay pa rin sa kaniya ang isa, pero hindi na lang siya nagreklamo pa at hinayaan na lang niya.

“Guys, hali na kayo. Snack muna tayong lahat dahil alam kong nagugutom na rin kayo.”

“Bilisan niyo, baka maubos na ni Gun ‘tong snack.” Biro naman ni Newt na ikina-iling na lang nila.
