Months later, after the discovery of the affair, Jacob fumed with rage when they found that all of Claire's property and company shares were transferred to her daughter's name. That included all her business affiliations.

In all honesty, Sunmi also wasn't happy with what Claire did. The Seo Family is just a simple merchant family. She thought that Jacob would receive some of Claire's inheritance if they separated. But lo and behold, that woman had the guts to give everything to her only daughter, Chaeyoung.

However, with their current circumstances, Sunmi was forced to swallow her anger and instead planned of ways to get rid of that loathsome woman.

And she succeeded. Sunmi couldn't help but smile to herself. Claire is dead, but her daughter still lives. How unfortunate. Still, she always had the chance to entice Chaeyoung to give some of her inheritance to her stepsister Yuri. An evil smile slowly made its way onto her face.

'Or I could just get rid of her,' she thought.

"Madam… Madam… Hurry. Madam!" She was startled by a panting maidservant.

"What is your problem? Are you planning to give me a heart attack?"

"Madam. The young miss… The young miss has arrived." The maid was holding her chest while speaking as if she had just run for her life.

"Eh? So, what is the matter? What are you panicking for?" Sunmi inquired. She was thinking of her daughter Yuri. Her daughter had been studying for the National Higher Educational Entrance exam. It was normal for her to come home and spend the night in the mansion instead of going to her dormitory to study.

"No Madam. It's the Eldest Miss, Chaeyoung. She is here."

The mention of Chaeyoung's name made Sunmi tremble. How could it not? She had just been plotting to kill her a while ago.

"What did you say? Chaeyoung? Where is she? Quickly show me…" Sunmi had been tending to her flowers in the terraces at the back of the mansion. It was a long walk, so she had to hasten her footsteps to save some time.

She couldn't help but curse. How come Chaeyoung arrived without letting anyone know? Jacob is not here. He was doing business overseas and would be back home by tomorrow. She gritted her teeth in annoyance.

She was panting when she arrived at the Veranda where Chaeyoung was sitting elegantly while reading a book in another language and sipping tea. Sunmi calmed herself before speaking to announce her presence.

"Chaeyoung? How come you didn't tell us that you will be coming? We would have prepared something," Sunmi said. Her tone would make a stranger think that she was speaking to someone she knew well.

Chaeyoung tore her eyes away from her book and looked at her. Sunmi gasped in astonishment. The girl before her was very beautiful. No: to say that Chaeyoung was beautiful was an understatement.

She looked like a deity. Chaeyoung had long hair, with dark roots that transitioned to beautifully colored gray. Slender eyebrows matched with curly eyelashes. She had long eyelashes and pink full lips. And her most noticeable feature was her deep-seated gray eyes that she inherited from her mother, Claire.

Chaeyoung looked at her from head to toe, questions apparent in her eyes.

Then she lifted her brow and asked, "and you are...?"
