18. "Maa..."

In the garden, Aranika was sitting alone, which is a rare sight. She just escaped from the securities to think about fantasies for sometime, she was lost somewhere in the eyes of her parents, still no one have noticed that she isn't with her friends.

Aranika just sat on the grass bed, with her legs carefree and plucking the green grass out of boredom.

'Hmmm, today everyone are there in the palace but I am feeling bored, it would be good if Kavya is born in this yuga, pch that's not possible right' She continued to pluck the grass. The so called baby heard a hissing sound from behind approaching her. She turned back but saw nothing but green grass and flower bushes all around. Aranika turned back and faced the opposite side of the garden. No sooner than she turned back, she saw a snake with open hood, staring her like a ghost. Aranika gulped down, she thought she is a moron to come here. She tried to crawl back but a voice stopped her. "Princess, don't worry, I will cause you no harm" 

Aranika's heart raced with Ganga's pace. She gulped down the lump in her throat and sat astraight. 

Aranika: [in mind] Am I hallucinating or what? When did I become a snake? Shit, is this creature talking with me or is it like a snake which hypnotized Mowgli and tried to swallow him. I am such an ill fated girl, my chacha is king of snakes, and now I am going to become the breakfast of a snake! What the hell is going on? why isn't that moving? is this common behaviour of snakes? Is it preparing itself to eat me?
