EPILOGUE

ISANG MATAMIS na ngiti mula kay Aiden ang bumungad kay Bree nang lumabas siya sa convenience store na para bang ilang araw siya nitong hindi nakita. That smile of his caused disruption in her cardiac rhythm like it always did. He stood up straight from leaning against the car when she finally reached him.

"Soda or peppermint tea?" Tanong nito.

"Peppermint tea, of course."

"Do you still remember what I taught you?"

Tumango siya. "Anxiety contributes to motion sickness so it's better to be relaxed. Stay hydrated and oh, a distraction would also help a lot."

Ngumisi ito. "Leave it to me." He kissed the tip of her nose causing her to smile from ear to ear.

Patungo kasi sila sa Bucas Grande Island, Surigao del Norte. That's right, she's going on another road trip with him. Naisip kasi niya na sa pang-anim na nobelang gagawin niya ay sa Bucas Grande nagkita ang hero at ang heroine. Aiden then suggested to go there, para na rin daw may idea siya kung ano ang isusulat niya at makapag-relax sila. And so she agreed. "Ready ka na bang sumakay ng barko?"

"Uh-huh."

"Please don't look at me like that or else I might kiss you until we are out of breath."

Kinagat niya ang ibabang labi dahilan upang tumawa ito ng marahan. Hinawakan nito ang pisngi niya habang hawak pa rin ng isang kamay nito ang kamay niya. They looked directly into each other's eyes and smiled meaningfully.

"I love you." They said in unison, and they both began to laugh. Smiling, he threw his arms around her and pressed his lips to her temple. She closed her eyes and savored the moment.

"I love you simply because it's you," he whispered.
