Yuki sent Fusaaki a text. "Hey, man. While you're with the demon hunters, can you ask around for someone called Ayaka Yukimi? Would be cool, thanks."

Fusaaki leaned at the window and stared outside when he got the message. He read through it and made a mental note to himself. "Sure thing", he texted back and then gazed at the roof where the spectator was still sitting. He decided to rather go and make a check-up before he felt safe. Maybe, the dude did see Yuki after all... He grabbed his katana and left the house, walking around the block. Then, he jumped up to grab the lower side of a roof and pulled himself up there before peeking forwards behind the chimney. The dude was still there, apparently trying to find him. Fool. He was, like, five roofs away. Quick distance to cover. He waited a few moments, making sure he wasn't staring into his direction before he went for it. When he landed on the roof the guy was on, he startled and pulled out a dagger, blindly lunging at him- being blocked by the blade of Fusaaki's katana. The boy disarmed him with a fairly quick and fluent move before he kicked one of his legs away, making him fall on his butt. The point of the blade pointed at his neck. "Who the hell are you and why are you watching me?" he asked sternly. The guy stammered something along the lines of "I-I... sorry...? I was just...!",
"Get to the point", he snorted. "Don't waste my time here or I need to rate this as an invasion of privacy. Plus, you tried attacking me, which also doesn't make me quite friendly.", "S-Sorry", he stuttered again. "I'm Kiru Chisuko... Mr. Clarke's intern...",
"Huh. So you're an intern too.", "S-Sorry for the attack! I just saw something jumping at me and thought it was a demon!",
"Hm... Fair." He shoved his katana back into its sheath. "So, did Clarke tell you to watch me?",
"Yes..." He nodded. "He said I should watch over you for a while to establish whether you're trustworthy or not...",
"Huh. Go on.",
"I-I'm really sorry, Mr. Osaka!",
"He told you my name, huh." He folded his arms.
"Y-Yeah... I just... went where he wanted me to go and watched the house with a pair of binoculars...", "You don't say. I noticed. You're a terrible spy if you're making it so obvious. You should make sure to not catch the reflection of sunlight when you try to observe someone. That gives away your location.",
"Y-Yeah... You're right, I'm not... quite of skill yet...",
"How long are you an intern already?",
"A few months?",
"That's not long.",
"Well... long enough for me to know most of... the stuff going on...",
"Then you surely met the angel Jack told me about.",
"Angel...? No, I didn't meet her.", "...No?",
"No... I was doing homework when she apparently visited...",
"How old are you, Kiru?",
"I'm fifteen...",
"Which school do you attend?",
"Uh... Lostvein District Middle School...",
"I see." Fusaaki turned around. "I recommend you to leave. It has no use for you to observe me anymore. I blasted you.",
"... Pardon me, Mr. Osaka, but I don' t want to be punished by Mr. Clarke...", "Stop calling me Mister, I'm maybe three years older than you. Cut it out.",
"Sorry.",
"So, what do you suggest you do? Stay here wasting your time?",
"... You, too, are an intern, right...?", "Something like that, yes. I used to be Aisaka's intern, but when he died, I was reassigned to Jack.",
"I heard from Mr. Clarke about your skill... He said you've beaten him in the test.",
"Yeah, that's right.",
"Maybe we can get to know each other better...? Since we're both interns, you know...",
"..." Fusaaki looked over his shoulder. Great opportunity to launch his cross-examination on this guy, so he shrugged. "Yeah, why not." Then, he slid down the rain pipe and landed on the street. The intern followed him, but staggered on the edge of the roof, falling down in the process. Fusaaki was able to catch him and put him down. "Watch it.",
"Whoa... I thought I was gonna die!", "You would've." He just turned around and went back into his house. Kiru followed him.

Fusaaki made him some tea and sat him down. "Well? Saw anything suspicious?",
"No... Not at all..." he muttered. "Just the house... Why?",
"Just asking. So, you didn't see the angel either.",
"No...",
"Do you know something about our latest targets?",
"What do you mean?",
"I got that the demon hunters are after someone specific.",
"Oh... right. Uh... Two girls and a guy. Uh... I guess Yuki Hana and Hiko Inoue... and the dude's name was... I forgot. Something with L.",
"L?",
"Le... Lu... I know his surname was Evans, but his first name... Lu... Luki... No... I think it was Lumine...? Right, Lumine Evans.",
"Huh... They are confirmed demons, right?",
"Yes.",
"I heard the girls where tracked down from a school. But what about the dude?",
"He was at Miss Yukimi's place once", Kiru replied.
"Yukimi? Who is she?",
"One of the higher-ranked commanders... I think actually the second highest behind Clarke.",
"Have you met her already?",
"Yeah, I saw her once. She's a pretty woman, actually. She has purple-gray hair tied to a bun and gray eyes. She looks quite stern. I think there was a story between her and the demon. She found him on the streets, I think, and took him home. But there, she yet didn't know he was a demon. She only found out later.",
"I understand. Is she looking for him?",
"Yeah, I think so. At the moment, she's busy hunting in Lostvein, but I know she's actually looking out for him. She said she wants to personally execute him for tricking her like that.",
"She seems unforgiving. Wasn't it her own mistake to pick someone off the street she didn't know in the first place?",
"She's too kind sometimes..."
'Too kind while being part of the demon hunters? Talk about contradiction.',
"So, she's in Lostvein. Where will she go next?",
"She will be in the next patrol checking around Oblivion District.",
"I see. Why do you know all that stuff tho?",
"Oh, it's because I'm usually present when Clarke gives out commands. He sometimes asks me for my opinion.", 'Caught a jackpot. Yay! When I befriend this guy, I am pretty much close to everything the demon hunter idiots are planning.',
"Allow me a question. Why are you so interested in Miss Yukimi?",
"That's plain and simple", he lied casually and leaned against the wall. "That's because I heard about this third demon but no one told me what exactly is going on with him, who he is or what he looks like. If I were to encounter him coincidentally, I should be able to identify him, right? Also, I was looking for hints where to look for him. When said demon knows that she's looking for him, what I bet he does, then wouldn't it be most clever to go look for him where she isn't running around? I mean, when you know someone's out for your blood, I bet my ass you're not gonna be there.",
"That's... clever. So you think he would be trying to stay as far away from her as possible?",
"Yes, naturally. That's the only logic conclusion I can come up with. The second thought I have is... do Lumine and the girls know each other? Is that known?",
"Not that I know... No, they don't know each other. Why?",
"Because if they did, might be reasonable to assume they work together to avoid being caught. That might explain why no one of us has ever seen them again since they were exposed. Lumine seems to be on the run for quite some time now. He might give away his knowledge to other demons who hide away with him.",
"So... when we find him, we will inevitably find other demons as well?",
"I assume so, yes." He nodded. "Maybe you can relay this deliberation to Mr. Clarke for me?",
"Of course!" Kiru nodded. Fusaaki smiled. "Thank you." He was playing his role quite well. This kid was naive, but without his knowledge quite helpful to him. This way, he would be able to give reliable information to Black Asylum. He figured the kid didn't lie because he seemed too honest and enthusiastic about it. He was thankful to Auroria for having have told him how to identify liars. He wasn't a human-shaped lie detector like some demons where and couldn't hear the other person's heartbeat, but he did notice the body language. Liars would rarely seek eye contact, would constantly try to fill in words to give them time to think and leave out important details. However, he knew just observing the body language wasn't sufficient. He had to tax this guy with more cognitive tasks to make sure he wasn't lying, because lying was more mentally straining than telling the truth. But he couldn't just flat-out ask this guy to tell him everything once again in reverse, that would make Fusaaki suspicious himself, so he set himself on further asking questions, sometimes asking something he had already asked pretending he forgot. But this kid didn't give away any cues of deception, so he eventually knew for certain he did not lie. Perfect!
