A Couple of Days Later...

My eyes lazily opened and it took a moment for my eyes to adjust to the familiar surroundings. My eyes shot open in confusion when I heard cheering and screaming coming from downstairs.

I groggily walked out of my bedroom and down the spiral staircase. Just before I reached the last stair, I came to an instant halt as I heard a series of wolf whistles coming from directly in front of me. My eyes widened as I saw Drew and Matt standing at the bottom of the stairs, looking up at me.

"Ummm Bianca" Matt laughed, pointing to what I was wearing, "I am not complaining but it does not leave much to the imagination."

Matt was actually really nice and funny. We spoke regularly in the classes that we shared.

It took me a moment to realise what they were staring at, but it eventually clicked. I was only wearing a silk cami and the matching pair of shorts. Matt was right, they definitely did not leave much to the imagination.

Clearly embarrassed, I tried pulling down the silk shorts and crossed my arms over my chest in order to cover my bare chest.

"Hi, I am just going to quickly go and put on something a bit more appropriate" I mumbled as I run back up the stairs and put on a bra and grabbed a robe.

Just as I was about to leave my room, Caleb stopped me in my tracks. "You idiot! You could have warned me that we had guests over" I exclaimed, punching him in the arm.

"That hurt" he pouted, rubbing his arm where I had just hit him.

"How was it my fault that you came strutting down the stairs wearing next to nothing" he muttered.

"Maybe next time, you can cover up a little bit" he suggested.

"What?" I asked in confusion. "Since when have you been the one to tell me how to dress?"

"Since you told me to stop flirting."

"Wow, you are listening! I am glad" I smiled.

Caleb begun rubbing the back of his neck awkwardly, "of course I listened, I do not want to lose you."

"Isn't that cute" I teased as I pinched his cheeks.

I pulled out the eggs, bacon, and some bread to make toast however I could not find any of the sausages that we just recently brought.

"Caleb, where are the sausages?" I asked, walking out into the lounge room.

"Here, I will help you find them. They should be in the fridge somewhere" Caleb said standing up.

It did not take long to find the sausages so I quickly made everyone breakfast before bringing it out into the dining room.

"That smells amazing" Matt said, sniffing the air.

"Dig in" I encourage them.

Breakfast went really well; Drew and Matt had opened up to me thanks to a game of twenty-one questions.

By the end of breakfast, I felt as if I had made a pretty good connection with them. Drew, Matt, and I instantly hit it off. Drew and Caleb put on an act at school but Matt was just genuinely nice and himself all the time.

Drew had an older brother who moved away for university as well as a ten-year-old brother and a fifteen-year-old sister. Drew's parents were still together but they travelled a lot so Drew had to take care of his siblings. He cooked for them; he drove them to where they need to go and cleaned up after them. He was pretty much a parent to those two kids which only made me appreciate him more. He had a job and was hoping to receive a football scholarship.
