Dark. Cold. Silent. The girls hadn't expected that they would be greeted by a dungeon as soon as they would reach the Eastern Kingdom. Two bulky werewolf guards guarded the dungeon gates and refused to listen a word.

"Let us go! We are the kings' guests. We were invited by him." Gen emphasized but the two guards didn't even bat an eye.

"We are his special guests. If you don't let us go, you'll be severely punished." Bella spoke through gritted teeth although she was really scared of the scary guards and the dungeon.

The guards were afraid of getting punished but they clearly remembered their kings' words.

"The guests are supposed to arrive after 2.4 months. I guess you impostors were mistaken and thought that you'd be able to fool us. Just stay here quietly, His Majesty is on his way, and he will deal with you two." The guards spoke and the girls gulped.

"See, I told you we were supposed to go to the West! Look at what you've got us into now!" Gen began to panic.

"I'm sorry, I'm sorry Gen. Please do something. I'm scared." Bella begged.

Lucius knew the moment that the girls had entered his territory as the smell of humans scattered around. A smirk appeared on his face; he was going to have fun today. The thought did cross his mind that it might be his mate, but it was too soon. He made his way to the dungeons, his favorite place. He spent most of his time there, playing. He loved to hear screams, squeals, and shouts. His ears yearned to hear someone beg. He was twisted in that way.

But when he reached the dungeons, his heart began to beat faster. It was an unusual feeling and he quickly caught on to why it was happening. She was here. She was finally here. But the dungeons, how dare they put her in the dungeons?! He sped up and made his way down. The smell grew stronger, and his anger soar higher.

His eyes were red when they connected to Bella's, and she almost peed herself due to the tension. But no matter how hard she tried to move her gaze, their eyes kept locked together. Lucius' eyes moved to the other girl in the dungeon. She had crouched down and covered her face so Lucius couldn't see her properly, but his mind itched to see it.

Gen lifted her head and observed as his eyes changed from red to brown. That was the effect she had on him. Both girls were beautiful. They were evidently scared and seemed timid. He hadn't expected two girls but one of them was his mate, and that filled his heart with joy.

"Get them out of here, now!" he ordered, and the guards scurried to open the gates and let the two out. The guards began to shake violently due to the fear of punishment from Lucius.

Lucius escorted the girls upstairs and to the packhouse. Although he was a little disappointed that the prisoners weren't trespassers, but he still had an opportunity left.

The Eastern Kingdom was way different from the Southern Kingdom as the place was always dark and gloomy. There was no sunlight and only dark thick clouds. Even Lucius had a very dark aura surrounding him and it was a little disturbing for the girls.

"The name Lucius means 'light', but this place seems like the opposite." Gen muttered, trying to stay close to Bella and away from Lucius.

"This feels like the twilight zone. Are you sure he's a werewolf? Because this seems like a place where a vampire would live." Bella pondered and Gen couldn't help but smile at her silly comment.

They reached the packhouse where the girls settled and freshened up before they sat for tea with the king.

"Welcome to the Eastern Kingdom. I apologize for what happened earlier, that was not how I wished to welcome you. However, I wasn't expecting you this soon. Were there any change of plans?" Lucius questioned.

"It was my fault. I thought that we were supposed to come here second, so we came here instead of the Western Kingdom." Bella revealed and Lucius couldn't help but laugh.

"That's fine. I will inform the western kingdom that you are here so that they stop waiting and can expect to see you later." Lucius spoke and Gen felt relieved.

"I forgot; we haven't formally introduced each other. My name is King Lucius, I am referred to as 'His Majesty' by my kingdom and I would prefer that you two call me that." The girls were a little confused but decided to comply.

"My name is Bella, but you can call me Bell." She spoke with a smile.

"And my name is Genevieve, nice to meet you." She smiled as she watched Lucius observe her.

"You both have pretty names." Lucius spoke. "I bet you two are tired now, you can go rest in your rooms upstairs, the housekeepers will guide you."

Lucius watched as the girls went, but for some odd reason, couldn't get Genevieve's name out of his mind.

"Genevieve." He called out subconsciously, and she turned around to face him. He moved forward and smiled at her.

"Would you mind if I call you Vee?" he couldn't help himself as the words left his mouth. Gen didn't mind and so she nodded.

"Now if you'll excuse me, I have some business to attend." He uttered and made his way to his favourite place.

The girls had different rooms but told the housekeeper that they would only be using one since Bella had trouble sleeping alone at night at a foreign place. Since it was nighttime, they changed to their night suits and prepared their beds.

"Oh no!" Bella screamed from the bathroom and Gen rushed immediately to her.

"What's wrong? Is there a spider or a cockroach inside?"

"No, no. I lost my diamond earring somewhere. What do I do?!" She cried and Gen sighed in relief.

"Relax, we'll be able to find it. Do you remember the last place where you had it?" Gen asked and Bella pondered.

"I don't remember. Please help me look in the room and the packhouse. This is my favorite one, I cannot lose it." Bella urged and Gen was kind enough to help her. But they were unable to find it in the room or anywhere in the pack house.

"Oh, maybe it's in the dungeon. Can we go look there please?" Bella suggested and Gen was a little skeptical.

"Let's ask the housekeeper, I'm sure she'll be able to help us." Gen spoke.

"Miss, we aren't allowed to go there. If you lost something, I could ask one of the guards to look for it and they'll get it for you." The housekeeper offered. But Bella wasn't satisfied, and she wanted to go there herself.

"It's not safe Bella, please listen to me." Gen tried to coax her, but Bella secretly tried to enter the dungeon. The place made shivers run down Gen's spine and she could sense that something was wrong.

The next thing she saw: the guards who had locked them were tied upside down in the dungeon with lash marks covering their body. And Lucius on the side with an evil grin on his face. The sight in front of them made Gen's head spin and she felt dizzy.

The last thing she heard was Bella scream before she blacked out.
