“Paano ako kakalma?!”

“Because it’s just fucking normal?” patanong na singit ni Jack.

“Normal?! Normal?! Tinatawag mo iyong normal? Ano ka, abnormal?!”

“What’s the commotion in here?” That voice that was full of pride and authority butt in their conversation.

It was Jiex Tejero, Hunter and Zon’s father. The Boss.

Kaagad na umayos ng tayo si Zera saka aligagang dumikit kay Zon, na ikina-irap naman ni Jack.

Zon cleared his throat, “pa.” Hindi ito umimik kaya muli siyang nagsalita. “We’re just teasing each other.”

Tumango ito saka binalingan ang nakayukong si Zera na ngayon ay hindi malaman ang gagawin. This is her first time inside this mansiyon so she basically doesn’t know what to do.

“Who’s this young lady with you today? Your girlfriend?” he asked.

“Of course not!” Solo abruptly exclaimed, which caused Jack to hold his laughter. “Never!”

Zera just rolled her eyes while cursing Solo on her mind.

Zon cleared his throat. “Hindi po pa. She’s one of my closest friend on our Barangay.”

Closest friend? Ouch. Zera thought.

“You don’t like her?” tanong na naman ng ama niya sa kaniya.

Umiling siya, “I do, but not romantically. Friends don’t fall in love with each other, Pa.”

“Wow, you just burnt her down.” Solo sarcastically weeped. “Good for you, tho. Hindi naman kasi kayo bagay.”

Hunter and Jack couldn’t stop theirselves but to chuckled.

Palihim na umirap si Zera kay Solo na ngayon ay nakikipag-tawanan kina Jack at Hunter. Sinaway sila ni Zon pero hindi nakinig ang mga ito.

“Solo and Zon, to my office. Now.”

Solo immediately stop laughing with Hunter, while Jack cleared his throat afterwards. Inaya siya ni Zon kaya naman kaagad siyang sumunod dito at pumunta sa opisina ng amo nila.

Habang ang naiwan naman sa living room na sina Hunter at Jack ay muling pinagtawanan ni Zera.

“Hindi talaga kayo magkasundo ni Solo, ‘no?” Natatawang tanong ni Hunter sa huli. “Palagi na lang kayong nag-aaway.”

“Siya kausapin mo Hunter at huwag ako. Siya naman ‘tong malaki ang problema sa‘kin kahit na wala naman akong ginagawa.” Saka siya umirap.

Jack clucked his tongue out. “Admit it or not, you hate her too because she always burn you.” Nilingon niya si Zera na ngayon ay masama ang tingin sa kaniya, “she really don’t like you for Zon that much.”

“Wala akong pakialam kung ayaw niya ako para kay Zon. Dinala naman ako ni Zon dito, achievement na sa‘kin iyon.” Nagyayabang na aniya.

Hunter laughed, like he just heard something funny. That made Zera rolled her eyes.

“Ba’t ka tumatawa?”

“If only you know, Ate Zera. Kuya Zon didn’t bring you here because he feel like doing it.” He laughed again when he saw how puzzled Zera is. “Solo actually did.”

“Ha? Ano?”

Nilabas ni Hunter ang cellphone niya mula sa kaniyang bulsa saka binuksan ang inbox at pinakita rito ang usapan nila ni Solo.

“Here. She said that they’ll come over together with you because according to her,” he smirked at Zera who’s full attention was onto him. “She needs someone to annoy to because she’s bored.”
