Chapter 3

"Play just the two of us, you will find it in recently played." I hear him chuckle lowly.

He said it that way on purpose but I'm going to let it slide because I am a wiser person. See!
"Cocky much." I just had to add this, now we are even.

I press the play button, I am actually impressed by the song. He starts whistling along the end, his hands creasing my legs in synch, this feels oddly relaxing. I lean into the seat getting comfortable. I could never feel uncomfortable around him. Why was I feeling anxious before? I feel stupid now.

"We will go for a run after college?"

"Uhnmm." I nod smiling.

Rest of the ride went silently we hummed along the songs of his playlist, this playlist is different than those he usually listens to, I did not notice it till now. He is driving through the campus grounds now.

"What are you, love sick?"  I joke, teasing him about his modified playlist.

"Love sick, head over heels, whatever you would like to call me, shower you with all my attention," he sings rest of the song after pulling out the keys.

He accepted my accusations just like that! No denying? He leaps to kiss my cheek before we step out of the car.

Why am I feeling giddy? Uhhh he is getting under my nerves.

'No he is not and that is precisely the problem' I hear Audrey complaining in the back of my mind. She is annoyed with me for yesterday.

My brother Ryker is waiting at our usual parking spot with Rosalyn and Lucas.

"Well Look at those two love birds." Lucas says doing that hand shake thing and pull Issaic in for hug, he then gives me a side hug as well. I notice my brother rolling his eyes, I never asked for his opinion anyway.

"It is good to have you back man" says my brother doing the same.

"Feels good to have our group back." Rosalyn chimes in pulling me in a tight hug.

Ryker and Isaac are in their final year of college. Me? First year, first class first floor. Separate classes! I share mine with Daniel and his friends. Right now they are bunched up in the back talking about some new girl. Yes wolf hearing.

It has only been a month but nothing feels new because there are so many familiar faces like those from neighbouring packs. It is not important that we talk or not but we recognise each other by face and the teachers as well.

"Hey guys, what is the news?" Placing my bag, I give Dan a hug. It is sweet when he does these little things that he do, like saving me a seat.

"Nothing crazy! You know Mike."

Yes. Mike talks a lot. It actually suits his name. I chuckle, nodding at what he said.

"The type of crazy you were interested in a while ago."

"You heard about it too?" Emma asks me, ignoring their staring contest.

"No. I overheard your conversation earlier. A new admission? Or may be it is someone joining late this semester."

"No buddy, it is new admission. You know how hard it is to resist this face and my charming personality."

"Yes, very hard indeed." I share a look with Emma.

"We had a little chat before class, her name is Rachel." Mike stretches his wrist band before putting it back on, like he is some certified player now.

"She told me she moved here in Jordiana a month ago and they have pretty solid connections with some higher ups in this college which made their admission process go smoothly."
