The music in the sketchy club your friends dragged you to was blasting, the bass from the speaker rattling your bones. God, it had been forever since you'd been here. The last time you were, you had met h i m . . .

"Come on! It's fun and you know it!"

"You know I'm not into this kind of stuff, Buccellati.."

"We just haven't gotten ya drunk enough," Passione's gunman teased through a signature goofy grin. Abbacchio, a tall, white haired man huffed and took a seat at the bar waiting for his teammates to go home.

"Can't be too much longer...Buccellati will get tired and drag Mista's ass home.."

"Y/n! Having a drink already? Let's go dance!!" Your friend called.

"Yeah..no," you half whispered. You're not exactly known for being a social butterfly—which is exactly why your friends brought you here. The last time went so perfectly, you met h i m . . .

"Castle Silent? Good choice, kid."

"Excuse me?

"Scusi, I couldn't help but notice. That just so happens to be my favorite wine."

"Well, you have good taste..erm-,"

"Abbacchio." He cut you off.

"I'm Y/n"

"Oh come on, you can't be so hung up on one guy! Besides, there's tons of people here for you to meet."

You couldn't help but roll your eyes. Sure. Plenty of people in a sketchy club in the middle of the day that aren't total weirdos! Sure, it wasn't your friend's fault the only time she was available was now..but still.

"Besides, h e could always come back!"

Abbacchio tapped his index finger against his glass to the beat of the music. His eyelids lowered slowly and his mouth contorted into a gentle smirk.

"Do you like this song?"

"Mhm."

"Me too."

"Let's ditch this joint. After this song, we'll leave. Go to the park. Something."

"Let's let it play us out," you chuckled.

The song faded out, and the two of you snuck out of the club neither of you wanted to go to, yet were so glad that you did. You wandered around for awhile, deep in conversation. Eventually, you rested in an embankment on the bed of a nearby stream. Your backs laid against the gentle wall incline of the hill, the soft grass entangling in your hair and cradling your bodies.

It was a clear night, the only sounds were the hum of passing cars and the chirp of nearby crickets. The brilliant stars were in full view, and looked even better reflected of off Abbacchio's violet-blue eyes.

A familiar tune rang through the building, immediately rendering familiar in your memory. Your finger rhythmically tapped against your glass just as Abbacchio's did all those years ago. Instead of it deepening your sadness, all you could do was wonder how he was doing at this moment. How was he doing on April 5, 2001? Was he thinking of you? Tch- a guy like him? Only in your wildest dreams.

Waves softly crashed on the shore tucked away by rocks, only visited by local schoolchildren or the odd tourist occasionally. He laid limply on one of these rocks in a similar fashion to the night in the embankment. The embankment. He thought back to that night, your conversations, the way the star's light sparkled in your eyes.

A gentle smirk spread across his lips on final time. As yet another wave pulled back into the ocean, it took Leone Abbacchio's soul with it.
