"Who's in there?" someone shouted from outside and Ashton and I froze.
"Shit, baby stand behind me," Ashton gently pushed me so he could stand in front of me as the door swung open. Someone came inside and all I could hear was the rattling of chains as my heart sank.
It was a guard.
"Let's get you two back to your cells," the guard spoke and just then the power came back on.
"No," I mumbled, feeling defeated as Ashton kicked at the guard, his arms chained behind his back.
"Let us go," Ashton yelled, "fuck." he slurred as the needle was shoved into his neck.
"Don't play about or you'll be unconscious too," the guard said gruffly.
"Please," I shouted, my body thrashing around as he chained me up, "let me go, let me go, let me go!" I screamed, the sudden realisation that this was probably our only chance at escape and it wasn't going to happen. I let out one last scream as I felt the needle in my neck and then my body went limp and the world faded away.
