Chapter 27 - Natural Disasters

"What do we do?" Harper says starting to panic
"I don't know" Kelly says as he cradles the kids
"God were firefighters and we don't know what to do!" Harper shouts as aria looks at her scared
"Tables! Get under the tables!" Kelly shouts as they all run to the tables
Everything is falling and smashing. Harper has managed to cut her hand on a piece of glass that fell from a picture on the wall. Outside the ocean is going nuts and fires are starting in the hotel. After about 5 minutes the earthquake is over. They all get up and open their doors to see thick black smoke filling up the halls
"Now this is something we can help with" Harper says as she looks out
"We've not got any gear" Kelly says as he looks at the kids
"We need to get them out one way or another" Harper says
Kelly and Harper both take 2 of the kids and chance it. They run out protecting the kids faces until they finally reach outside of the hotel. Car alarms are going off and there are pieces of glass everywhere. Harper and Kelly can see the rest of 51 and run over to them. They can over hear the hotel manager speaking on the phone
"What do you mean the firefighters won't get here for another hour! I need them!" He says in a panic
Harper runs over to him
"Is everyone accounted for?" She asks
"So far we have a couple of families missing, we don't know if their dead or alive" He says as he ends his phone call
"Me and my friends over there? We're firefighters and paramedics! We can help! Now do you have any equipment?" Harper asks hopeful
"We do! There's a law in Hawaii that we have to keep gear and things in hotels! There in a closet next to reception" He says and without thinking Harper runs in
"Harper!" Kelly shouts but she's already in
Harper navigates her way to the front desk and finds the closet. She takes out the gear and runs out
"I have*cough* Gear!" Harper says
Harper hands out the gear to discover there isn't enough for her. Kelly shoots her a look
"I'll set up triage with Dawson! You go! Be safe!" Harper says as she smiles at Kelly
Dawson and Harper run off and start to tag people. Harper is given someone with a red tag and is preforming cpr. After 5 minutes she has to call it and replaces that red tag with a black one
"How many is that now?" Dawson asks
"20" Harper replies
Kelly and Casey come running out with more victims. Kelly is doing CPR on a little girl around Aria's age
"How long has he been doing that for?" Harper whispers
"20 minutes" Casey replies as Harper shoots him a look
"Come on Layla!" Kelly shouts as he does CPR on the girl
"It's no good honey" Harper says as she puts her hands on Kelly's making them stop
Kelly puts his head on Layla's tummy and sheds a tear
"Auntie Harper!" Caroline calls out in a panic
"Yeah honey?" Harper asks as she turns around to see aria lying face down on the floor unconscious...
