Chapter 55 - Accidents

It's 5 hours later. Harper is out of surgery and recovering well. Kelly has been allowed to see her
"Hey" Harper says weakly
"How you holding up?" Kelly asks as he places a comforting hand on her leg
"I'm good. All they did was stitch me up" Harper explains
"Your still stronger than I'll ever be" Kelly says as he sits down on the chair
"I'm sorry you had to see that, you know me collapsing right in front of you with blood pouring out of my abdomen" Harper says as Kelly smiles
"Hey! I love you no matter how I see you! Your my wife Harper! And plus you seen me when I had overdosed on pills. Nothing can top that" Kelly says as he holds Harper's hand
"I love you too" Harper says as he gives her a kiss
*Time Skip*
It's now a year later. Aria is now 8, Devin is 6, and the twins are 4. Kelly is 34 and Harper is 32. Harper and Kelly have both managed to stay out of the hospital and everything is going great.
"So are you trying or?" Dawson asks as they walk into the firehouse
"We're not trying trying! But if one day I turn out to be pregnant then it wouldn't be such a big deal" Harper adds
"You are aware that you have like 10 kids?" Dawson says as she stops
"I'm aware! And it's only 4! Aria is grown up now and Devin isn't far off it! The twins are starting school next semester!" Harper explains
"But that gives you and Kelly time to bond! When was the last time you had a kid free night?" Dawson asks
"Well the last time we went away we go trapped in a road traffic accident with no signal so I want to say our honeymoon" Harper says as Dawson shakes her head
"See! That's reason number 1 why you shouldn't have another baby! I'm just saying!" Dawson shouts as she walks away
It's a week later and Harper hasn't been feeling like herself. She has the exact same symptoms as when she was pregnant with the twins. A part of her wants to be pregnant whilst the other isn't so sure. Harper is on shift however stoped by the store and bought a pregnancy test. She has peed on the stick and is waiting. Harper is about to turn it over when
"All units, School bus crash, Rose bank street" The Intercom Says
Harper looks at the test and shoves it in her locker on the way by. She gets suited up and jumps into the truck
"I hate these kinds of calls" Herrmann adds
"Don't get me started on them! Anything with kids that involves all units isn't my cup of tea" Harper says
"I don't mind them. But I guess that's all down to me not having kids? And not knowing what it's like" Amelia says as she focuses on the road
"Trust me once you have kids you'll hate these calls" Herrman says as he smiles
Harper's phone then starts to go off. She takes it out to see that it's Aria and Devins school
"Hello?" Harper answers
"Hello Mrs Severide?" A lady says slightly panicking
"Yes?" Harper replies
"I'm afraid Devin and Aria have been in an accident" The lady explains as Harper can feel her heart sink...
