Chapter 15 - Goodbye Brother...

Harper is trying her hardest to navigate her way to Kelly and Cruz
"Bailey! Where are you? I need you on the right side!" Boden shouts through the radio
"I'm going to get Kelly and Cruz!" Harper replies
"Why! I didn't give you that order!" Boden says annoyed
"Let's face it here chief! I have a degree in medicine! I was a paramedic! I'm also a Captain! They need a paramedic ASAP and we can't get Dawson in here so with all due respect please just shut up and let me make this call!" Harper shouts as she gets out of the maze
Boden doesn't respond as he doesn't quite know how to respond to that. Harper finally gets to Kelly and Cruz. She checks their pulses and can't find one on Cruz so she starts CPR
"Okay! I want you to get Kelly out of here! He's breathing! But won't be for long! So hurry up and get him out!" Harper shouts whilst doing cpr on Cruz
Capp picks up Kelly and races out with him leaving only Cruz and Harper in the building
"Come on Cruz! You have so much more to live for! You need to watch aria grow up! And Hunter! They adore you Cruz come on!" Harper shouts whilst doing CPR
*Outside*
Capp runs out and hands Kelly over to ambulance 67 and they work on him
"Where's Cruz and Harper?" Dawson asks
"Still inside!" Capp says as they all look at the unstable building
"We know Harper! She's gonna get herself out! For Kelly!" Casey says worried
*Inside*
Harper gets a pulse and Cruz opens his eyes slowly
"Good job! That's it keep them open!" Harper says whilst gripping his hand
"H-Harper" Cruz says weakly
"Yes?" Harper says with tears rolling down her face
"Let me go...I'll be with Otis....H-Help him build that Fir-" Cruz says before he closes his eyes
"No cruz! Keep them open!" Harper says shaking Cruz's hand
But Cruz closes his eyes and stops breathing. Harper notices the pool of blood lying next to him and knows that he's gone
"No!" Harper shouts as she buries her head into his chest
She sobs into his chest for a while until she finds the courage to get up. She takes off her jacket and lays it over his head
"You rest okay! You make sure Otis knows that we miss him! Goodbye Brother" Harper says as she finally lets go of his hand and lays it on the ground
Harper then walks out of the building in shock. She stands at the door and everyone is running around and are too busy to notice her. She stands there with tears in her eyes until Casey notices her and everyone's eyes are drawn to her
"There was nothing I could do...He's gone" Harper says before falling to the floor in tears
Casey runs over to her followed by Dawson. They cradle her in their arms and Harper sobs. Casey lets a few tears fall but wants to stay brave. Dawson doesn't quite know how to react. Harper then looks up and everyone is kneeling on one knee facing the warehouse. Dawson, Casey and Harper all do the same...
