Chapter 7 - I need you!

"How about we get you home honey? I think we're a little bit tired" Gabby says as she smiles
Harper stands up and walks out hand in hand with Dawson. They get in the car and drive
"Are you sure you don't wanna crash at ours?" Casey asks not taking his eyes off the road
"Yeah! I could make up a spare bed for you in the guest room!" Dawson says smiling
"No really I'm okay!" Harper says as she stares out the window
They arrive at Kelly and Harper's house and Harper gets out the car
"Call me if you need anything! Or if he's being a jerk!" Dawson shouts
"I will!" Harper shouts back as she opens the door
"Harper?" Kelly says shocked
"I'm exhausted! And I need to sleep in my own bed! I need to be in my own house! And most of all I need my Kelly!" Harper says with tears in her eyes
"Harper-" Kelly says but Harper doesn't stop
"Tomorrow afternoon your going to go pick up the kids and we're gonna play happy family! I'm not going to put the kids through whatever this is! You got that?" Harper asks
"Yeah, I do" Kelly says as Harper makes her way up the stairs
Harper lays down in her bed and can feel the tears roll down the side of her face and onto the pillow. She finally falls asleep but wakes up in the middle of the night and gets up to go for a walk. She ends up in the kitchen and spots Kelly
"Can't sleep?" Harper asks but Kelly doesn't respond
"Silent treatment! Great!" Harper says as she sits down
"And what Harper? Your the one that's been acting funny!" Kelly shouts
"No Kelly! Your the one who started this! Drinking every night? Not turning up to shift? Not looking after the kids? God Kelly I couldn't care less about you coming to see me but I needed you! I thought I was gonna die! And you weren't there to tell me that I was going to make it!" Harper shouts
"Can you blame me?! I was alone in this giant house at night! I had no one to talk to! I was trapped inside with my thoughts!" Kelly shouts
"I'm going to say something here that I'm really gonna regret! But the first ever time I met you! You were in the darkest place of your life! Pushing everyone you loved out! Drinking and driving! And not showing up for shifts! Your falling back into that Kelly! And I don't want you too! Your not the same man I met 11 years ago!" Harper shouts standing up
But before Kelly can get a word in Harper starts again
"What would shay say about all of this? Do you think she would be proud of you? Because I don't think so Kelly!" Harper shouts before heading back upstairs
