I think what they want is a speech. But I have nothing to say. Maybe Meadow will have something she wants to say. "Ladies and Gentlemen. We've beaten the Woodlands Allegiance once more. We've killed one of their leaders. But we may have won the battle. But winning the war will be much harder. I'd like my associate Meadow Shepherd to say a few words. For she is the reason I'm still alive" I announce. I think the crowd's pleased with my answer. They haven't thrown anything at us. Meadow hésitâtes before beginning her speech.
"It's been hard. That's for sure. But you need to thank Sirocco not me. I'm not the one at the reins here. She is. Only she could kill the likes of Chinook Everglades...." Meadow trails off. She's said too much. That's for sure. She's announced to the crowd that I killed my sister. She could have just said Chinook but no. She needed to add the last name to it.
Meadow POV
Sirocco's growling beneath her breath. Perhaps I've said too much. Wait, fuck I did. Now they all know Sirocco's a bloodthirsty murderer. Killing her own sister. Gasps from the crowd fill the air. I think they've just realized what I'd said. "Murderer!" A voice shouts. "She killed her own sister!" Another voice yells. "I thought those two looked alike!" A third voice yells.
"I did what needed to happen" Sirocco immediately jumps to her defence. "She was a threat to the kingdom. I needed her gone!" Sirocco yells. I go to speak but Sirocco silences me. "Now. If you'll excuse me. My associate and I will be leaving." Sirocco declares as she ushers me down the stairway. The crowd sighs, knowing Sirocco's not going to say anything else about her case. The walk back to the castle is mainly silent. Finally, we arrive back at the castle and step in. Sirocco slams the door behind her. "I-I'm sorry" I whine. "It's fine... I suppose" Sirocco sighs as she drinks from a flask. I don't even want to stop her from drinking right now. "I don't know what to do anymore. I have an old friend who hates me. Everyone else in my family is dead" Sirocco admits as she greedily chugs more alcohol. "You and I are alike. Everyone else in my family is dead too. I never really had many friends. I've lost everything just like you." I reassure Sirocco
