Ch 17: Crisis on Earth X pt 5 (The real one this time)

"Yeah, and Thawne is her dad." Barry replied, like it was a no brainer. "You know how good of a liar he is. He could have sent her to manipulate us."

"He's not my dad." Elicia protested, "Sara is!"

"Uh, what?" Kara asked in confusion.

"Sara's your dad...?" Barry repeated slowly sounding so utterly confused as he muttered the words. Looking between Clarity and Sara like they'd just broke his brain.

"Do you mean on the other earth?" Caitlin wondered bending down to Elicia's level.

"No, on this one!" Elicia protested, she looked between Sara and her mom. "Don't you remember? You said!"

"Uh...I remember me telling myself that I was..." Sara replied slowly. All that happened that day felt like a dream now. That talk she had with her doom world self...she almost had forgotten it. It all seemed so far away.

"What?" Alex asked not understanding at all. She looked at Sara regretting sleeping with Sara even more now than she did before. "You two have a kid together? Your her-mom, dad, why aren't you just her mom? This is...full grown child," Alex gestured to Elicia looking at Sara. "Please explain."

"I'm not her Dad, Mom, I'm neither." Sara protested. "I don't even know how that became a thing. I don't even really know this kid."

"Sara, c'mon." Jax crossed his arms. "She's Clarity's."

"Yeah and? I don't really know anything about her other than that. None of us do. She just showed up on the waverider and got erased from existence. That reality it all got erased. The world Elicia is from was written out." Sara did her best to explain to the other teams. "Clarity doesn't even remember being her mom! She's never been pregnant. It didn't happen to the current version of ourselves."

"I don't have parents anymore?" Elicia asked, looking hurt and confused by Sara's explanation. The child's ice cream falling to the floor splattering down. The thought that they didn't want to be her parents cause her reality was gone having never crossed her mind. The assassin hadn't known any other way to put it and it seemed the child was taking it rather hard. The young blonde looked to Clarity taking two steps back from her. "Y-you're just pretending to be my mom?"

"No, no, no, no." Clarity bent down to Elicia placing her hands on her shoulders. "Hey, look at me. I'm your mom. Reality reversed, time altered, whatever happened it-it changed our lives. Things are just a little different now for us."

"Like your eyes looking really pretty and glowy now?" Elicia wondered.

Clarity winced. "Mhm, yeah, I have my meta human powers, and um Sara and I, we-we don't um, we aren't like that, anymo-"Clarity grimaced. "We never were. You've been away for a while, it's true I don't have any of my future self's memories, but I was told all about you. The second I heard I had you I wanted you in my life. No matter what, memories or not, I'm your mom, you've got me. I promise, we're a family, you and I. It doesn't matter how many things are different than you remember or how many other earths you go to with your father."

Elicia hugged her mom tightly with a little sniffle. "I missed you, mom. The other mother -the other you, she didn't want me. She was mean and her accent was scary."

"You met another me?" Clarity asked in surprise. Elicia nodded her head.

"Whoa." Jax objected. "There are more than one?"

"Another Clarity, another earth, it wouldn't be the first time we've encountered a dopple ganger." Caitlin pointed out.

"How many earths even are there anyways? What is there like 50?" Clarity wondered. "Does that mean there are fifty me's out there in the multiple universes?"
