Quint quietly played with his husband's hair. He was sitting on the bench's back, while Jeremy sat on the seat. The rising sun cast long golden rays across the city of New Katalina, and illuminated the couple on the cliff. Jeremy looked up at Quint, and smiled softly.
"You look so pretty." he said, kissing the smaller man on the tip of his nose, and Quint laughed. Jeremy stood up, and turned, lifting him up. "I miss you."
Quint laughed again, this time in confusion. "What do you mean?" he asked, wrapping his legs around his husband's hips, and arms around his neck.
Jeremy's blue eyes darkened. "You know what I mean."
The smile dropped off the smaller man's face. "This... this isn't real is it." he whispered, tucking curly hair behind Jeremy's ear.
"No. It's not."
Quint leaned into his husband, hugging him hard. "I wish it was."
"Me too."
