Quint was shoved forward. He landed on his knees, quickly scrambling to turn around. He glared at Amet in front of him. The god said something quietly to the people next to him, then turned, and smiled at Quint. They were in Snowmanor's foyer.

"Hello there, Quint." the god said, like they were old friends. Quint continued to glare. "We have someone here you may know." smiled Amet, folding his arms across his chest. Quint looked up in confusion. A familiar figure came forward. Dark curly hair, bright blue eyes. Jeremy. There was a strange blue tint to his skin. Jeremy's eyes found his.

"Quint! Quint, baby, where are we?" he asked, coming forward, and sitting on his knees beside him.

"Th-that's not Jeremy." Quint said, looking over at Amet. His voice shook.

"Oh but it is. It's him before all the bad things, Quint." Amet said, chuckling quietly.

"Quint?" asked Jeremy. "Is there something wrong?" he asked. Quint's mouth opened to say something, then closed again.

"Baby?" asked Jeremy quietly, taking Quint's hand. Quint looked down at their hands. They both still had the wedding rings. Jeremy gently tipped the other's chin up. Quint watched his husband's anxious eyes search his face.

"I-It's fine. Everything is... fine." he said, letting a small smile appear on his face. Jeremy cupped his cheek lightly, and ran his thumb over his lips.

"You're bleeding." he said quietly. Quint let out a breathy chuckle, and took his  husbands free hand.

"I'm alright." he said softly. Jeremy smiled lightly back, and ran a thumb over his lips again.

"You're sure?" he asked, relaxing slightly. Quint nodded, and pressed a soft kiss to his husband's lips.

"I-I missed you." Quint said, finding it was true. Jeremy wrapped him in a soft hug.

"Are you done? I haven't told you my offer." said Amet's smooth deep voice. Quint pulled out of his husband's arms, and turned to the god. He stood shakily.

"What's your offer?" asked Quint, keeping his voice from shaking.

"My offer is..." Amet glanced at Jeremy, who had a protective arm around Quint's waist.

"If you join us as an engineer, then I won't send Jeremy back to the-"

"You have a deal." interrupted Quint, not wanting to part with his husband. Sure, Jeremy had... not been the best husband near the end, but... now it was different. It was like when they'd first met. During the election. Quint remembered meeting Jeremy every night in the boardwalk tunnel, or on the cliff overlooking most of Katalina. Light kisses and quiet laughter. Winning the election, and getting married. Jeremy promising he'd be a better husband to him than he was to his ex-wife.

Amet's eyebrows lifted "Much easier than I thought it would be." said the god, chuckling quietly.

"You underestimate what I'd do for my husband." said Quint coldly, his grip on Jeremy's hand tightening.
