"How do I look?" Hwasa whispered as I try my best to gentle clasp a choker necklace on her neck. I smiled at her question, "what kind of question is that?... you always look beautiful." I whispered back as I pretend to dust off her already super soft and defined shoulders. She looked at me through the mirror with a smirk. "You're only saying that." She said under her breath. "Am I now?" I cheekily replied as I pretended to straighten up her dress. "Mhm... and if there weren't so many people here right now... I'd kissed you already." She whispered in my ear. It brought shivers down my spine, and I couldn't help but blush at her action. "Careful lion... Simone might be watching." I replied as I try so hard to compose myself. "So?... let them watch." I chuckled and gave her a look that says stop that.

"How do you feel Hwasassi?" I asked in my professional manner. "I like it. But don't you think it could be better if I had someone to go with me to the award show?" She replied while looking at me with that same enticing stare. "It would, do you have someone in mind hwasassi?" I played along. "I do... but they're busy, so I guess I'm going solo." I gave an apologetic look, and smiled. "You will do great by yourself. You don't need no man to have fun at the party." She gave me an annoyed look. She hates it when I say things like that, like I don't exist in her life. Oh and the mentioning of men when we both fully knows she ain't about that lifestyle. "Hwasa are you ready? We're leaving in 2. We're already behind schedule." Hwasa's manager yelled from across the room. "Yes! I'm coming." She puts in her matching heels and grabbed her evening bag. She slowly walked passed me and sadly smiled. "I'll call you later." She whispered before walking further away.

I had just arrived home after a long day of preparation for hwasa's award show appearance. She looked so beautiful today... like all the days. Stunning and sexy and ugh... she's so kind too... and humble... and god... this ugly world does not deserve her. I thought about what she said earlier, I know she meant me when she mentioned someone going with her. But we both know that we can't. No one can know about us.... This industry is too judgemental for our kind of relationship. Her career would be jeopardized... she'd be in danger... and a lot of people are going to have a lot to say. As I poured myself a glass of water, my phone rang and showed hwasa's real name, Hyejin. I quickly answered with a smile on my face. "Mmm yeoboseyo?" I greeted. "Hi baby." My heart melts every single time she calls me that. "Hi... are you home? You sound tired." She let out a big sigh and chuckled. "Yes I just got in my unit... I still cannot get over how extra award shows are. My energy is drained out of me and I did nothing but sit there..." she complained. "Well... it is mentally draining to always monitor yourself. But hey you're home now and you can rest." I replied with hopes of comforting her. "Neh... what time do you get home today?" She asked softly. "Mmm not long before you did. Maybe 5 - 10 minutes." I replied. "Wow that's late, did it take a long time to clean?" She asked. "No... just a lot to take care of, to make sure that everything is in order and accounted for. Can't have things getting misplaced." I explained. "You're so hard working." She complemented. "And so are you Miss the most famous celebrity in Korea... you worked hard baby and I'm proud of you." I could hear her smile and I love it when she smiles. "I miss you" she said while yawning. "I miss you too. You should get to bed, you still have a performance to get to tomorrow." Hwasa can get really grumpy when she's not properly rested before a schedule. Sometimes I feel bad because I know that she sleeps in the car most of the time to re-energize. "Neh... goodnight sweetheart. See you tomorrow." She sleepy replied. "Goodnight lion." I replied with a smile.

The next day, I came to the venue with all of the things I need. Clothes, shoes, accessories... everything that hwasa needed for her performance. Hwasa and I met on a day exactly like this one. Chaotic, rainy, and she was doing one of her live performances to promote her then, comeback. Her usual stylist quite before the schedule for some odd reasons and they all had to find someone to sub in really quick. That was my first ever professional gig and I was so excited that it was for Hwasa, the woman who is slowly changing the beauty standard in South Korea. I still remember when she came in that day with a towel on her hair and with no make up... it was so wholesome yet so beautiful at the same time. "I couldn't be bothered to dry my hair, it too damn long." She said. Every time I remember that day I couldn't help but chuckle.
