"Oh, for the love of..." Eugene says frustratedly.
"Guys, these are ivory spiders!" Varian tells them. "They're venomous, so do not let them bite you!"
"Excellent observation," Demanitus says, causing Varian to beam with pride... But only for a moment, as the spiders continue to close in on them.
Eugene swats at the spiders with the stick, as Demanitus climbs atop his head for safety. Rapunzel attempts to use her frying pan to scare the spiders off, and even Pascal is using his tail to keep them away.
"Mental note: Add spider repellant to my list of projects!" Varian says, as he uses his sword to keep the spiders away from him.

But nothing is working. They all hide behind a rock, though knowing it won't keep the spiders at bay for long. Varian is just glad that Lance isn't here, or they'd have to be dragging his unconscious body with them.
"Come on Demanitus, tell us the answer to the riddle!" Eugene shouts.
"I don't remember!" Demanitus replies, squeezing Eugene's head tighter. "I built this a thousand years ago! What do you expect?!"
"Oh, I don't know, I expected you to maybe remember how to get out of your own spider death trap!" He uses his hand to squish one of the spiders as he says this.
Varian racks his brain as the others continue to fight off the spiders. "'A room with no way in and no way out, see it in the rain but never in a drought'..." Finally, it clicks. "Guys, guys! It's a mushroom! The answer is a mushroom!"
"Ah-ha!" Demanitus says with a smile, as Eugene spots something in the corner of the room.
"Oh, oh, oh, oh! There's one!" Eugene says eagerly. He rushes toward the mushroom, and pulls at it with all his might. A lever comes out of the ground, and Eugene throws it to make the stone door slide open. The gang rush through the door, and it closes behind them before any of the spiders can follow.
Now out of danger, everyone sighs with relief. "I told you faith would get us through," Demanitus says.
"What did that have to do with faith?!" Eugene shouts at him.
As the group continue through the maze, they come upon a fountain with a large stone statue of a strange creature atop it. Etched below the statue are the words, If thou wish to skirt a deadly stress, donate a coin and earn safe egress.
With a smile, Rapunzel pulls a coin from her purse and flips it into the fountain. Varian also takes one out of his apron pocket, and tosses it in.
Demanitus feels around in his diaper, and checks under his turban. "Oh, um... think I misplaced my wallet," he says sheepishly.
"Of course, the monkey has no money," Eugene says through gritted teeth.
