Damian

It's a new day but the place I'm in is not where I want to be. I get up and put on a training uniform. I exit my bedroom and see on the little table in the sitting area was what breakfast was around here, tea and toast. I took a sip of tea then left the room for the training area.

As I make it to the main hall that leads to the outside training area in the courtyard, Lady Shiva is standing there waiting for me.

"Oh good you're up." She stated. "The assassins are in the middle of training right now, all you have to do right now is watch." I looked out into the courtyard and see evenly spaced out assassins practicing the basic forms.

"Shiva, I need to find someone to take over the League of Assassins. This place isn't for me, you know that." She nodded her head. Besides Raven Shiva was someone else I could trust.

As I watch the members of the League training I remember all the times my grandfather would be watching out into the courtyard like this. However when he looked out you could always see disappointment written on his face. My mother would be right beside him and Lady Shiva, when she was younger of course.

Day in and day out I would train, my mother told me I wouldn't be allowed to meet my father until I was ready. Which in her terms meant I had to defeat her in combat, and I did, we were all bloodied up.

Here you can not have emotions, just follow instructions. I never once got the love and friendship that I have now. I still don't like having emotions about things, I still train like crazy. Raven could tell you that.

Raven. I couldn't help but think of her right now. I wonder how everyone reacted to my letter. I know she would react differently compared to everyone else. She had to keep her emotions in check so that she wouldn't bring back her banished demon of a father, so she would go and meditate. Knowing her should would be doing it day in and day out.

I felt something move my hand while I in my thoughts. I look down to see Titus, he looked and sat down then looked straight forward. I knew that he missed her too, no one else lets him sleep in the bed but her.

"Damian, I have found a few people who would be great masters for the League, I arranged for you to meet with them." Lady Shiva said out of nowhere.

"Okay," was all I could say. I had enough starring for today, I decided to go train by myself. We had a small room with a punching bag and some punching dummies in it but the league rarely ever used it.

I walk the halls to the room with Titus in toe, but I stop when I see a large picture of my mother. I stare at her. Her features similar to mine especially the eyes. She has a wicked smile planted upon her face, she looks like she's mocking you. Next to her picture was grandfather, no smiling just a stern look of him in the uniform he usually wore. His picture doesn't give me bad vibes like my mother's does.

I move on from the pictures and continue to the room. Once there I see some dust lingering on some of the dummies, clearly no one has used since I left. I wipe of some of the dust from the punching bag as Titus finds a place to lay on the floor. I start punching not really thinking of anything but soon my mind turns angry and I'm taking it all out on the bag.
