Raven

After I closed the portal I wiped my strey tear from my face. I sat in his bed looking around. Everything was same just a few articles of clothing missing from his closet. On his desk I saw a letter that said Titans on it, of course he would write a letter. But I suppose he knows the Titans too well.

I didn't want to leave his room just yet for the bed still smelled like him. I lie down on his side and feel calm when I smell him. Soon I fell back to sleep with thoughts of him in my head.

When I wake up it's from Dick knocking on the door, I get up half asleep swinging the door open.

"Dami-," He stopped speaking when he looked down a little to see me. He rubbed the back of his neck awkward. "Oh, um Raven. I was looking for Damian but I've obviously interrupted something." He started walking away but I stopped him.

"Dick wait." I moved away from the door and went to the desk. I picked up the letter and walked it back to the doorway were Dick was once again, handing the letter over. "He isn't here and I don't think he'll be back." I said. He looked down at the letter opening it and read the short message.

"He left without a goodbye?" Dick asked, I think it was rhetorical. He stormed off and I didn't see him for the rest of the day.

I managed to get back to my room but I just meditated all day. I care too much for Damian but I knew he couldn't stay for me, he had to go. He was trying to make the right decision. Why does it feel like the wrong decision?
