Ch 14: Crisis on Earth X pt 2

Clarity quieted, shrugging half heartedly tapping the rim of her champagne glass. She hadn't even thought about it. Being on the waverider so long, and now with her Dad's acceptance, hiding her eyes true color... she forgot that it was something she needed to do. Sara hadn't even said anything to her before she left. But maybe the assassin hadn't thought of it either. Which was strange because Sara was always the first one to remind her to take them out after a mission.

"Here. Put these on." Iris passed her a pair of sunglasses. The lenses of which were dark enough to hide her eyes. Though Clarity didn't want to take them, she did anyways not wanting to upset the bride.

Caitlin shot Clarity a sympathetic look as Kara tried to think of an excuse to tell the salon lady. Which ended up being. "I should have warned you. I take a lot of keratin."

"Super strong nails." Felicity chimed leaning over to see the still smoking device.

"Yeah." Kara laughed adjusting her glasses.

"So, um, you and Oliver? You guys next, you think, to walk down the aisle?" Iris wondered looking to Felicity.

"Maybe once the city is not being attacked and Oliver is no longer under indictment and he's spent enough time with his son who is still mourning the loss of his mother." Felicity replied.

"So, any day now." Caitlin inquired.

"Any day now." Felicity chuckled.

"Well, cheers, Iris, to your big day." Caitlin toasted.

"To your big day." All the girls except Iris proclaimed. "Cheers."

"Thanks, girls." Iris raised her glass, though Clarity dropped her glass quite suddenly. The Champaign flute shattering on the ground spilling everywhere. It fell right out of her hand. The glitch paling considerably as a flash of red light hit the salon window. Her eyes were glued to the street outside. A strong breeze coincidentally blowing some leaves off the trees, she sensed him, Eobard and that wasn't all. Clarity glitched without a word to anyone. Right across the street. Not caring who saw or if she just outed herself as a meta. The sunglasses Iris had given her falling into her now vacant salon chair.

"Elicia!?" She couldn't even comprehend what she was seeing. Her daughter was alive, she was alive and in front of her. She looked older than when she'd last seen her but so so alive. She supposed she must have inherited her fathers knack for coming back from non existence.

"Not just, Elicia, my love." Eobard stepped into view placing his hand on his daughters shoulder. "Hello Clarity."

"Eo." Clarity gasped. She knew he was close but she didn't realize he was that close.  "Elicia come here. I'm here. I won't let anything ever happen to you again, but you need to come to mommy right now. It'll be okay but you have to come here. Get away from your father." Not that the child listened. Instead she just stood there motionless staring blankly.

"Hmph, that's cute you'd think she could listen." Eobard smiled. "You really thought I'd bring her to see you and let her be able to run off with you? No, no Clarity. You should know better than that by now."

"What did you do to her?" Clarity demanded

"Wouldn't you like to know." Eobard grinned stroking a hand through the child's hair. "You shattered me to bits last we saw of each other. It would only be fitting to shatter your heart in return. Our darling Elicia is the perfect tool to do just that, but I'm feeling gracious today. It's such a historic event about to transpire. I'm willing to let all that happened go if you marry me again."

"Not in this reality." Clarity denied lightning crackling across her as she powered up. "Give me, Elicia. I'm not asking."

"And if I don't?" Eobard challenged as he smiled at her, admiring her glow fierce as it was. How he'd missed how blue her lightning was. So brilliant it made his mouth water.
