Ch 14: Crisis on Earth X pt 2

"No, I need to uh, find a dress to wear to the wedding tomorrow. Yeah. Lots of shopping to do." Sara insisted shoving her hands into her jeans pockets.

"You don't even like shopping." Clarity frowned heel clicking against the metal ramp underneath her.

"I don't, that's why I've been putting it off. But can't delay anymore with the wedding being tomorrow. I'm not that big of a fan on nail salons either so..." Sara trailed looking out to central's bright sky's. Anywhere other than Clarity's eyes.

"You do know it's late fall, finding a dress for a wedding now will be a nightmare." Clarity told her, Sara made the fatal mistake of looking at her again. The look in Clarity's abnormal blues felt like the glitch had just sucker punched her. Right. Shopping definitely wasn't the best excuse to use on her. Well, no going back on it now. Luckily for Sara, Alex came to her rescue.

"I need a dress too actually." Alex piped up, sensing Sara was looking for an out. "I could use some help finding the good stores. Different earth and everything."

"Sounds like a plan. Okay, Enjoy your spa day, Pachirisu, her and I have dresses to buy." Sara told her going to walk past the Glitch. "If I can even afford one."

"Uh wait!" Clarity caught Sara's wrist. "I mean, well it's just this isn't your city. Central's shops are a bit pricier than in Star. You know you don't have to spend all that money. Honestly you probably aren't going to find anything that good this time of year anyways. Quality dresses are not that easy to find." Clarity twisted Sara towards the fabricator. "Just go in the fabricator and use one of my designs. It'll be less of a hassle for you. It's like online shopping, except you get the item instantly tailored for no cost at all. There isn't even a convenience fee."

"Clarity, we don't exactly have the same style." Sara denied.

"Oh, no not one of my designs for me silly birdy. One of my designs for you." Clarity tapped Sara's nose with her free hand. "It's the ombré black and white folder with the canary on it. Can't miss it."

"Designs for me?" Sara repeated. "You've been designing me dresses? Clarity..."

"Well not just for you." Clarity admitted. "The whole team and there aren't just dresses in there. There are suits, and causal clothes and jackets and all kinds of shoes. But yours is the biggest one not counting mine. There are only so many times I can design things for myself so I started designing things in other styles for other people." She turned to Alex. "There's also a huge miscellaneous folder to rifle through. I'm sure you'll find something nice to wear somewhere and best part it's all free."

"I think I'd love to see how that works." Alex looked Sara. "If you wanted to show me how it's done. I'm all for saving money where I can. I didn't even know about this wedding until Clarity showed up on my earth."

"Yeah I know my way around the fabricator." Sara nodded at the redhead she forced herself to smile at Clarity again. Curse her. Curse her for being so thoughtful all the time. It made her love her all the more which only made the pain she felt in her heart even worse. "Thanks Clarity. You-you should go."

"Yeah, course." Clarity nodded, "Right, Uh," Clarity finally let go of Sara's wrist. "I gotta glitch. See you later!" She waved getting onto her motorcycle. Jonas situated in front of her holding tight onto the metal bar. She put her lightning bolt helmet on her head and a silver one on Jonas. She first dropped Jonas off at the tux shop so he could hang out with William. The two boys rushing to greet each other doing some top secret handshake when they met at the tux store door. Oliver waved at her and sent her a thumbs up signaling he'd watch them from here, she waved back and then drove to the nail salon. Felicity was waiting for her outside. Kara having gotten there a little bit before. Flying was faster than driving and the kryptonian hadn't had to stop.
