"Uh-uh!" The boy proclaimed as he bounded down the ramp. Jonas ran in front of her towards her glitch cycle. The bike now completely fixed courtesy of a little teamwork from Cisco Ramon and Wally West. Clarity paused halfway down the exit ramp realizing that Sara had yet to make a move to leave.
"Sara, aren't you coming? Remember our plans? Beauty salon, mani pedi's." Clarity wiggled her fingers at the assassin with a smile, The glitch adjusting the blue tutu she was wearing. "You know you want to."
"No, sorry Pachirisu. I'm Uh going to pass." Sara replied, eyes set on Clarity looking adorable as ever in that tutu outfit she was wearing. Not wanting to put herself through the torture of having to hug Clarity from behind, feel her warmth against her. Her blouse's white material looked pretty thin she'd be able to feel everything through it. Usually she welcomed the excuse to get close with her, but now after her failed plan to ask her out once more she didn't think she could take the almost skin to skin contact. It was too much of a tease. That's what Clarity really was for her these days. A constant never ending tease.
Loving Clarity Springs was like loving cotton candy. She was blue, soft, and sweet. Pure fluffy sugar that Sara could never get enough of, never get sick of. She was always eager for a bite of her, but the second she ever gets a taste, she disappears, and Sara's always left wanting. The almost kiss after the leviathan attack, the almost kiss when Rip once tried to drop them off before she found out Laurel died, the almost kiss in the library, all of those stupid dominator dreams, doom world that she wished she knew more of, when she asked Clarity out and she told her to wait, that date where she screwed everything up, the kiss at her mom's wake, and now it seemed like the wedding of the century was going to be added to the list of fails and misses.
Sara wasn't good at being patient, she never had been. She was trying so hard to do just that. To hold out, to have Clarity be in a place where she was healed and ready for a relationship, that Sara wouldn't have to question if she was taking advantage of her when she was vulnerable, but everyday it's harder than the last to keep her feelings tucked inside. Waiting was hell, she hated being alone, and it felt like Clarity might never be ready or ever be hers. Because there was always something that got in the way, or someone. Sometimes it even seemed to be themselves. Who knows maybe the glitch wasn't even as interested as she originally was anymore.
She thought she found that person she could be with in Clarity, but even Sara Lance had a limit to how much torture she could endure, even emotional as it was. Perhaps maybe that was even the worst kind for Sara to endure. She used to be cold, she used to be hard, she used to shut out her feelings and let nothing get to her. But Clarity glitched herself right through all her locked armour, every defense the assassin spent years crafting in the league, on lian yu, and on that damned ship. What Nyssa had always seemingly needed a lock pick for Clarity glitched right through, like none of it was ever there at all. She tore it all down and just made herself at home with her electric blushy Pachirisu cheeks, and her soft chestnut brown hair and abnormal blue eyes that Sara swore she made glow brightest whenever they looked at each other. Sara never to this day has figured out how to get everything back into place the way it had been before knowing her. She didn't think she even ever could.
"I changed my mind." Sara told Clarity, still feeling the weight of her unsaid askance. Space is what she needed now. Distance from Clarity to figure out where to go from here. Regroup, reevaluate. It wasn't like she could ask her now. Clarity would never blow Kara off to be with her and even if she would, why put her in that position?
"What? How come?" Clarity prodded as she pouted. "Is it cause your not that close to the team flash girls? I know it's disappointing Thea's still in the hospital and can't come but Felicity's going to be there too. You know her."
