Sara was on top of her at the time, though Clarity'd been the one stripped down to her black and red lingerie. Knowing full well what discovery meant. Knowing that her sister despised Crash for her higher ranking closer to Over girl, more importantly closer to Oliver- Sara-X was not about to let her beloved share her fate. So, she made it look like a raping using her positioning a top her as an advantage to save the life of her love. As if, Clarity hadn't wanted any of it. Made it seem as if she'd forced herself on her. Like she couldn't control her impure wantings and had been determined to taint her goodness. The lie had been believed. The shock too fresh to question.
Sara got thrown into an internment camp. Her reich status taken. Her Father disgusted by the shame she'd brought to them set her execution to be that very night. Clarity got in touch with the resistance, a reckless play, but she was desperate, begged them to help the love of her life. The rebels refused to rescue her. It was too close of an operation. They couldn't risk it. At least, that's what General Schott and all his fighters had insisted.
Clarity made plans to rescue her beloved Sara herself. She was Crash, what did she need them for? To keep her hands clean, herself in the shadows, but if she had to muddy herself so be it. Sure, they'd have to go on the run forever, likely be hunted at every turn, but at least they'd be together and have each other. Before Clarity could make any big moves though disaster struck. Because of the events that had transpired with Sara, she was to be wed that very night. Siren-X hadn't been as believing as previously thought, but Overgirl being Crash's best friend refused to believe her. Thus her arranged marriage had been moved up. A marriage that had previously been stalled by Sara killing Barry's earth-X dopple ganger. She had no idea how the Fuerher could find a groom so fast, it was as if he appeared out of thin air, this Eobard Thawne.
Clarity tried everything to ditch her nuptials and save her love, but with her groom being a speedster keen to watch her every second, there was little she could do. Even if she killed him, Siren-X and Overgirl would be on her in seconds. She was as imprisoned as her love, helpless to save her.
As she stood, at the alter completing her vows, Sara was executed, Clarity sensed her hum stop at that moment so did Clarity's heart. The red circuit board heart that had acted as her symbol snapped in two, cleaved in its metal case.

"I do." Clarity murmured at the end of her vows, voice hard and bitter, as her hands trembled red eyes shining lightning crackling at her eyes edges. Though it was not Eobard who she was really making a vow to, but her departed Sara. For all the love in her heart died right along with her. She vowed to kill the resistance, the reich, her new husband, all those who had failed them. False friends, Family and Foes. Everyone who had let Sara die and she wasn't going to stop there. All the other earths out there she would make suffer for they took their peace and happiness for granted and thus they did not deserve it. She was going to bring worlds crashing down just as hers had this day. There was nothing or no one on this or any other earth that would be able to stop her. With her Sara gone, Clarity was no more, all there was left now was Crash.
