"It's a girl", Destinee said grinning.

"No, it has to be a boy!" Jace yelled upset.

"It's going to be a sweet little baby girl. And maybe the next one is a boy", Destinee tried to calm Jace down.

Jace shook his head and raced to the door.

"Jace! Where are you going?" Jake asked.

He stood up and raced after his son. Rosalie went to Destinee and guided her to a big fluffy chair in the living room. Esme approached the young woman with a plate with the fruit tarts she made.

"Fruits tarts?" she offered.

"With Joghurt and chocolate mousse please", Destinee replied.

Esme smiled and went to the kitchen to retrieve Joghurt and chocolate mousse. Rosalie sat on the armrest and rubbed Desti's back.

"He'll come around. He has the role of a big brother to fill."

Meanwhile Jake reached his son, who sat in the small garden behind the main house, sulking and pouting.

"Hey, little man. What's wrong? Why are you so upset?" Jake asked and sat down next to him.

"I want a brother" Jace pointed out.

"I know. But you know, it's not nice to run away like that."

Jace shrugged, still pouting.

"It's not something we can control", Jake continued, "maybe the next one is a boy."

"It better be."

Jake sighed.

"Go hug your mother okay?"

Jace shrugged again and continued sitting on the ground. Jake looked behind him to see Leah approaching them. Jake patted his son's back and stood up.

"Hey, Jace. You know as a big brother, you have another little sister to protect", he said with a small smile.

"He's disappointed that he's not getting a little brother", he told her.

"I'll try to cheer him up", Leah replied.

"Thanks."

When evening was approaching, the small family, including Edward and Leah, went back to their smaller house. Destinee and Leah prepared dinner while Edward watched the children. Jake stood behind his wife again and massage her hips.
When they ate in silence, Desti's eyes were constantly moving to the package in the living room. After they finished and Jake did all the dishes with their children, Edward left to hunt and Leah dressed for the night in the guest bedroom. Destinee stopped on her way to the stairs and stood in the living room and stared at the package. Jake stopped behind her.

"Let's see what's in there tomorrow. I know that you're curious. I'm too. But it's late."

"Okay", she agreed.

She turned to their two children.

"Come on you two. Let's put you to bed."

"No, no, no. Let me do it. You look tired."

"Fine."

"Night mommy", the children chorused.

"Night."

"Night baby", Jasmine said to her mother's belly as she approached her.

She put a hand on her belly and her ear next to her hand. She felt a small hand moving against her cheek.
