"Hey Ash, what are we doing today?" I ask.

"Um well Cal found this really cool restaurant yesterday so we were thinking about going to the beach then going there for dinner. Does that sound good?" he says.

"Yeah that sounds awesome," I smile.

"Okay well I'm gonna change, then we can leave," he says as he walks into the bathroom to change.

"Man, this trip has gone by so fast. But I'm glad there's still two days left," Ashton says as he lays on his towel beside mine.

"Yeah," I smile as I interlock our fingers together.

"Oh, so what did Michael say last night?" he asks, sitting up.

"Oh, uh, nothing. He just wanted to know when we were coming back," I say.

"Oh. Well it seemed like you were gone a long time if he only said that," he says.

"Well we chatted a bit," I say.

"Okay," he says.

"Hey," I come closer to him. "don't worry. Its nothing important for you to know anyway," I peck his lips.

"Okay," he says, putting his other hand on my cheek and kissing me again.

"Oh, I wanted to tell you something," he says as our lips part.

"Yeah?" I say.

"I, uh, I got you something," he says.

"You did?" I smile.

"Yeah. Its at the hotel though," he says.

"Oh, well I can't wait to see what it is," I smile.

"Hey guys," Calum says as he sits beside me.

"Hey, what's up?" I say.

"Oh, well I was just wondering if I could get my phone out of your bag. I wanted to see if Emily texted me," he says.

"Oh sure," I say and get his phone out for him.

He unlocks it and starts typing on his phone, smiling, then locks it again.

"Do you miss her?" I ask.

"Gosh, more than anything. I wish she didn't have to live so far away," he says.

"Yeah. But you two make it work," I smile.

"Thanks. Well I'm starving, are you guys ready for dinner?" he smiles.

"Yeah! Let's go," Ashton smiles.

After dinner, we get back to the hotel.

"Okay, sit right here and close your eyes," Ashton says as he motions me to sit on the bed.

I sit down and close my eyes. I hear Ashton walk away, then his footsteps approaching me again.

"Okay, open your eyes," he says.

I open my eyes and see Ashton smiling widely with a velvet box in his hands. He opens it and inside is a beautiful necklace.

"Oh my gosh, Ashton, its beautiful," I say in awe.

"Here, let me put it on you," he smiles.

He takes it out of the box and puts it around my neck. I take it in my hand and admire its beauty: a silver heart pendant with four tiny diamonds at the bottom.

"Thank you so much, I love it," I smile and kiss his lips.

"Anything for you, Casey," he smiles then pecks my lips again.

I continue to look at it in the mirror when another piece of my jewelry catches my eye: the promise ring Luke gave me. I haven't taken it off since he gave it to me on our 6 month anniversary. I'm with someone else now, I shouldn't even be wearing it. My mind tells me to take it off but my body won't budge.

"Hey Case, Michael is calling you," Ashton says from the other side of the room.

"Just let it go to voicemail," I say as I sit on the bed.

Michael's P.O.V

After a few minutes of ringing, Casey's voicemail picks up.

"H-hey, its me. I just uh, wanted to tell you that I- I love you and, oh, you know what never mind. Michael, I told you this was a bad idea," Luke says, then hangs up the phone.

Casey's P.O.V

I listen to the voicemail and my heart drops to my stomach. I dial Michael's number but quickly hang it up after it rings a few times.

I sigh as I run my fingers through my hair and plop on the bed.

"Everything okay?" Ashton asks me.

"Yeah, everything is fine, thanks," I say.

"Okay, good," he says as he puts his arm around me.

"I have a question," I say.

"What is it?" he asks.

"Did, did you love Izzie?" I ask.

"Yeah. Why?" he says.

"I was just wondering. Do, um, do you wish you two were still together?" I say.

"I did. But now I'm with you so its all good," he smiles.

"Oh," I smile.

"Well I'm gonna go to bed. Goodnight," he says as he gets in bed.

"Okay, goodnight," I say.
