The room was silent
With a small smile on his face Mte looked at his friend as he enjoyed the food Alex cooked
Alex was currently in the kitchen washing the utensils she used for breakfast
She put everything back to where it was once she was done and stood there not knowing what to do
Was she supposed to go back there?
Her eyes landed on a curly haired boy who ate nonchalantly, she couldn't get her eyes off of his back
There was something about him she couldn't pinpoint. One thing she wouldn't argue with herself though, was the fact that she found him very attractive
She was brought back to earth when the door abruptly opened revealing Molly, Lillian and a guy Alex saw at the party
"You're just saying that because you wear the stuff" Lillian said as she closed the door
"Give up Lily, you clearly on your own here" the boy said as he made his way to the living room with Molly
"I'm not" Lillian shook her head "T is obviously on my side by default"
Molly chuckled
"What's this all about" Mte asked
"Well Zack here-"
"Dude, potatoes with mayonnaise" Zack said excited "Its been a while since I had this" he attempted to take some but Tyler slapped his hand away
Molly sat where the two couches met eying Tyler
"Hey man come on share some" Zack whined
"Get yours" Tyler said before finishing up the food
"You're cruel" Zack scoffed as he plopped down on the couch next to Molly and put his arm around her
"Since when has he ever shared his food Babe" Molly looked at him shaking her head
Tyler got up with his mug and plate in hand and made his way towards the kitchen
"Fiona!" Zack called "Fiona!"
"You're screaming in my ear Zack" Molly squinted
"Why you calling her" Lillian asked
"I need her to share me some of those potatoes"
"Why?" Mte gave Zack a questioning look
"Because she made them why else" Zack said like he was talking to a two year old
"Fiona is sleeping" Mte chuckled "Alex made breakfast today" he said looking at an anxious Alex
Alex stood leaning on the counter looking at her hands
She didn't want everyone to notice what she was feeling at that very moment
Her heart beat so loud she was afraid everyone would hear it, her stomach wouldn't stop feeling weird
What is wrong with me
She wished it stopped but how could it when the source of all these reactions was a few feet behind her
"Alex?"
She looked up suddenly attentive as she heard her name
Zack looked at the kitchen to find a new face "hey there Lexi" he said as he waved at her
"Hi" her voice came out small
"Do you have some left overs?"
"Only food for Fiona sorry" she smiled
