What is Sun Magick?

Welcome witches, witches-to-be, and people who are curious about sun magick or witchcraft in general!

Sun magick. Pretty self-explanatory.
Magick using solar energy. That's pretty much all it is.

But, there's a lot more to it than that!

Here are 5 important things to remember about sun magick:

1. Sun magick can be and is done during all seasons. Even though summer is the hottest season and probably seems like the best season for sun magick, it can be done in winter, spring, and autumn, too.

2. Sun witches can do ALL types of magick, not just sun magick. Sun witches can do moon magick, tarot, work with any herbs, connect closely with water, or something seemingly unrelated to sun magick. It is their craft, after all.

3. Anyone can be a sun witch, regardless of gender, race, ethnicity or zodiac sign. It is very common for people to think that you have to be a water sign to be a sea witch or a Leo to be a sun witch, and that's simply just not true!

4. You don't have to dress or look a certain way to practice sun magick and you certainly don't have to be a sun witch to practice it. Yellow, red, orange, and sky blue are the traditional colours of the sun, but sun witches of course can wear other colours.

5. Sun witches can use all tools, like blue candles or moonstone, they don't just have to stick to "solar tools." And they can cast spells on days other than Sunday.

Okay, so now that we've got that out of the way, let's just talk a little bit more of what you can do as someone who practices sun magick! Remember, these are completely optional and not necessary at all.

- Wake up at sunrise and go to bed at sunset
- Meditate outside under the sun
