I warn you, in this story I'll make you hate UshiWaka's mother.

Tendou was going to the gym for practice and meanwhile he was stroking his forehead.

He had some bleeding cuts caused by some bullies. They were mocking him and him answering ironically wasn't helping so they pushed him and he fell, but one of them hit him with his foot and his head got scratched by some rocks.

He decided to cover them by keeping his hair down.
In the club room, some teammates were a bit surprised about the sudden change, but didn't give it much thought.

On the other hand, during the actual practice, Tendou wasn't in great shape, he even fell a couple of times, and whenever he closed his eyes he fell asleep.

The coach could see that there was something wrong. He took him aside and asked him.                  "Don't worry coach! Lately i just have a lot of tests and i lack of sleep because i need to study."   
"Mh, i hope for you that it's just this..." the coach put his hand on Tendou's forehead and took it back immediatelly. "Lack of sleep my ass! you're burning!"

He called Semi and said to accompany Tendou in the infarmary. But Ushijima offered to go in his stead, he isnsisted and the coach accepted.

Ushijima and Tendou weren't dating... yet, they were pretty much trying to figure out what was going on between them, and that includes staying together as much as possible.

They arrived and the nurse misured Tendou's temperature. "gosh! 39,8°! Lay down on the bed." She took some pills, made Tendou eat one of them and put the others on the bedside table.         
"Boys, there is an emergency at the football club, i'll be back." She instructed Ushijima to change the wet cloth on Tendou's head from time to time, to keep it fresh, then she went away closing the door behind her.

Now there were just the two of them. "Wakatoshi-kun, there is no need for you to stay here, the coach wanted you to continue the training." Ushijima looked at him deeply. "You want me to leave?" Tendou's eyes widnened, then he sighed and turned his head the other way. "No, please stay here." Ushijima took his hand and held it kindly, they stayed in a confortable silence.

"Yes, i like this." Tendou said after some time. "you like what?".
"This, it's confortable, i like it. I like you, thank you for being here." Ushijima smiled and squezzed his hand more. "No need to thank me, i like you too."                              
Hearing this, Tendou slowly sat up. "so... is it official?".

Ushijima looked at their interlocked hands and smiled. "yes, i guess so."
Then their eyes met, they stared at each other for some seconds, then Ushijima started getting closer.
He was just inches away when Tendou covered his mouth with the hand.
"No Wakatoshi-kun, you'll get sick too and then the coach will be furious."
Ushijima frowned, made an annoyed noise and sat up straight again.

"Good boy, don't worry, once I'll get better we'll kiss as much as you want."
Ushijima relaxed and nodded.

Days passed.
Ushijima immediately changed Tendou's contact name.
From "Tendou" to "Satori♥️".
Tendou blushed like a lobster when he saw the heart.
Yeah, Ushijima didn't really want to hide their relationship, but Tendou was worried that people could look at him in a different way and that his future might be compromised.
Ushijima eventually reassured him and he says "I love you" or "I missed you" whenever he has the chance, he is very clingy and Tendou loves it.

Tendou was completely healed and he managed to pass all his tests, and with the new relationship with Ushijima he was happy like he never had been.
