She was happy he finally let her free from his clutches, she never knew this day would come but she was happy it had finally arrived

They made small talk here and there on their journey to the place where she would be staying

They would make stops to buy food at some point and sing along to music connected to Alex's phone

It was dark when they reached the penthouse

They both unloaded the luggage in the underground parking lot and made their way to elevator

"I saw your mother's reaction as being weak but now that we're here I finally understand how she felt" Nathan said as they entered the elevator

"I'll miss you Dad" she looked at him

"I'll miss you more little noodle"

The elevator ended at the top twentieth floor

The exited the elevator and entered a hall which had one door

"Fiona occupies the whole floor, wow ...what does she do with all the space" Alex said

"I was planning on getting the same kind of apartment" Nathan chuckled

"What? That wouldn't have been necessary Dad, I don't think I'd have lived alone in there now I get why she needs a roommate"

Nathan chuckled, she was just like her mother, he remembered how she loved in a small house when she was alone

Jennifer rubbed that off on their daughter

They reached the door and ringed the doorbell

"I hope she's home" Alex said

"She's expecting you, she obviously is"

"Did you meet her?" Nathan asked furrowing his eyebrows

"Uuuh nope, I didn't but mom did"

"Hmm I hope you'll be compatible or at least like her"

"Mom probably likes her if she trusted me with her"

"Yeah no doubts about that" Nathan smiled knowing his wife would never put her daughter in wrong hands

The door was soon opened revealing a girl in a tight green crop to with black yoga pants and fluffy white socks

She looked at them confusedly

"Alexandria?" She tilted her head

"Yes" she said not knowing how to react

"Oh finally!" She beamed "I've been expecting you come in come in" she said as she stepped aside from the door

Alex at her father who shrugged at the little girl's behavior

"Gosh silly me" she lightly hit her head and quickly took the duffel bag on Alex's shoulder and the suitcase dragging it inside disappearing

They entered small smiles on their faces as they looked around

There was a living in front of them, a kitchen to their left with a hallway on the middle leading to the bedrooms

The kitchen had a counter at the center with two high fancy stools between the counter and the cupboards and five the other side

There was a fridge between the space on middle at the far end of the kitchen

There were black cupboards of the same length as the counter with a cooker in between and a sink after two cupboards from the cooker

A simple black couch was pushed back to the wall, another of the same type connecting starting a few inches away from the hallway ending in the middle of the room
