Chapter 3-Forest Of What Now?

*Yume's POV*

 After asking Asuma-sensei about where and when the second exam will be held, I had to make a run for it. It was this forest called the Forest Of Death. 

If you ask me, whoever named that place is either super edgy or super emo.

"This is where the second exam will take place. The 44th training grounds, also known as the Forest Of Death"

'That's kinda edgy not gonna lie...' I sweat dropped

"You should experience soon why this place is called The Forest Of Death" Anko giggled

(my bird just pooped on the floor)

I'm sure Naruto had enough of this edginess or something because he put his fists on his hips, crouched and stuck his butt out. Obviously mocking Anko

"You should experience soon why this place is called The Forest Of Death" Naruto mocked "There's no point in trying to scare us like that. I'm not scared at all Dattebayo!" he yelled

"Really? You sure are energetic" Anko said with a closed eye smile. Then she took out a kunai and threw it past Naruto's cheek which cut it. In less than a second, Anko was behind Naruto.

"Boys like you die fastest" Anko said then put her hand on the cheek that wasn't injured "After spilling that red blood that I love all over the place" She slowly wiped the blood on Naruto's cheek 

I threw a kunai at Anko and she dodged it as expected

"Anko-san, don't you think you're being a bit emo here? We're gonna spend god knows how many days in there with minimal resources and some of us pretty much might die. And you're here talking about how you like blood getting spilled everywhere. We're scared as hell, alright" I stated nonchalantly, pointing at the forest with my thumb. 

Well in reality, I was actually scared. The place looked like some sort of place where the will-o'-the-wisp would show up at night when you're lost and lead you astray, probably off a cliff. To your death.

Suddenly, a lady that moved just like a snake slithered from behind me and handed me my kunai using her extremely long tongue

"Your kunai" She said

"Ah, thank you, but never get behind me ever again" I said with a sweet and innocent smile on my face but my tone was a tone I'd give to anyone I don't like with. Probably someone who would want to hurt my family or use them for their own benefit

"Sorry, I get a bit itchy when I see blood. Also, my precious hair was cut, so I got a little excited" 

I gave that woman a death stare then Anko pulled us apart and let out a laugh

"It looks like we have some hot-headed people here today." Anko smirked 

"Before we begin the second exam, I'm going to pass these out to everyone" Anko said pulling out a bunch of paper from her coat "Those are consent forms. Those taking the exam must signs these"

"From here on, people will die. Therefore, we need people's consent before we continue. Otherwise, I'll be held responsible" Anko said with a laugh at the end "Now I will begin explaining the second exam. To be concise, you will go thought an extreme survival match" She said then handed the papers to Naruto. He took one and gave the rest to someone in Kabuto's team.

"First, I will explain the forest's geographical features. The 44th training ground is a circular region surrounded by 44 locked gates. There's a river, a forest and a tower in the middle. The tower is approximately 10km away from the gates. Inside this limited space, you have to go through a certain survival program." Anko said "The program consists of...A competition where anything goes...over these scrolls" she said raising two scrolls
