Daddy's disappointment.
You were never very fair,
Always showed me that you never cared.
Sitting on the doorstep; waiting
Hours pass by, my mother tells me a lie
"He's busy baby, maybe next time"

But next time
You're listening but not really paying attention,
Every time you come back,
It brings into question
Why I waste my time when i'll never be
The one worth your eyes.

"Daddy, look what I did" -
"That's it?" He responds while my sanity slips.

The only one fighting for your affection
But that really is a reflection
Of the damage I've got deep inside,
That I bury hard and try to hide.

Fathers are the ones who should teach;
Teach their daughters their freedom of speech,
Teach them about their respect and beauty.
Bringing little girls into this world, that is the least of your duties

But instead you taught us the worst;
And installed this deep in my brain,
That all men leave and will put themselves first.
Which makes every relationship I have end in pain.

You were supposed to protect us;
Daddy's little girls.
Not let other men ruin us, and take
What they think they deserve.

"You disappointed me Daddy, and let me down"
I whisper, while you frown.
Scared of your own truth,
You project my resentment
With "But you're the disappointment"

Scared of your own truth,You project my resentmentWith "But you're the disappointment"
