Y/N POV:

'mummy mummy' you hear your 5 year old daughter, tiffany, cry from the kitchen

'yes baby' you walk over to where she is

'i forgot to tell you mummy, teacher gave me homework' she holds out a homework sheet to you. you gently take the paper

'that's ok tiff tiff want mummy to help you?' you say while patting your daughter's head

'yes pwease' she says

you chuckle and grab a pencil.

'come on, lets work on the desk' you smile while walking to the study room

'ok mummy' your daughter follows after you

you sit her down at the desk and read the sheet to her. 

'so the homework is about families' you mumble under your breath 'here's the picture of a family, label the people of the family' you continue to read.

'i don't understanddd' your little 5 year old whines

'you just have write to who it is, like this is the mummy' you point at the mum of the animated family 'so you write mummy'

'ohhh i understand now' she grabs the pencil and starts doing the rest

after she does the brother, sister, and grandma she stops

'mummy that's the daddy right?' she points at the dad

'yes baby go ahead and write that down' you say softly

'mummy?'

'yes?'

'where's my daddy?'


THROWBACK:

'where are you going?' you say to vinnie, your boyfriend and the dad of your young daughter.

he doesn't say anything but continues to pack his bags.

'v-vin?'

'i can't do this anymore' he says plainly, not even looking at you

'b-but... what?' you stutter

'i'm leaving'

'n-no you can't' tears start to fill your eyes

'y/n i'm going i said i can't do this anymore'

'b-but tiff how am i supposed to take c-care of her myself'

'that's why i'm taking her with me'

'no you're not!' you suddenly exclaim making vinnie finally look at you

'yes i am! she's my daughter as well as yours' he shoots back

'well who gave birth to her, who looked after her while you were working, i'm her mum vinnie' you whimper

'i want my daughter'

'VINNIE WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT, FIRST YOU ARE LEAVING ME AND NOW YOU WANNA TAKE AWAY MY DAUGHTER. ARE YOU INSANE?!'

'FINE THEN KEEP HER BYE' and with that he storms out and never returns


PRESENT DAY:

'where's my daddy?' your daughter asks looking up at you

'well tiff u-um, some people don't have a dad' you stutter, tears filling your eyes

'mummy you look sad, what's wrong? why you crying?' she stands up on the chair tugging your arm

'i'm not sad baby the sun was just in my eyes, i'm not crying' you stroke her cheek

'oh bad sun!' your daughter exclaims making you chuckle

'ok finish your work, then we can go to the toy store' you say to her

'yes!' she starts scribbling away to finish her homework
