Eliza sat at the bar, taking a big swig of her beer. She groaned, resting her head on her hand.
"Happy birthday to me" she mumbled. "Yet another one single and alone" She spoke sarcastically as she rolled her eyes.
Her party had gone off somewhere, leaving her alone in the bar to celebrate her birthday. She didn't like them; well she didn't like many people to be fair. They just all seemed to get on her nerves, always trying to do the "right thing" and scolding her for "getting into trouble". It wasn't her fault she was a thief. She had her reasons but they'd never understand.
As her head slowly dropped to the table, a loud thud jolted her and brought her back to reality. She looked up and saw her party striding into the bar confidently and groaned. Couldn't she escape their adventures just for one day? Annoyed, she took another swig of her beer. That's when she saw her
Looming over the others behind them was an unfamiliar face, one that caught her eyes immediately. She was a dragon born, her red scales shimmering in the sunlight and her eyes, so captivating yet hiding a tortured soul deep within. She glanced around nervously and seemed somewhat unsure of herself, anxiously following the rest of the party.
Eliza spat her drink out in shock. Holy heck was she hot!
