CHAPTER 8 - New Safe Place, More New Survivors - part 5

When the new survivors came out from the Winnebago trailer, they revealed to be four young teenagers in age ranging between 15-17, and four little children with the two boys looking to be 7 or 8 years old, one little girl appearing to be four or five years old and this little Asian-looking girl is standing beside one of the teenagers a little shyly while glancing at the last child, which is another baby girl gently held and carried in the teen's arms. The four teenagers also revealed to be two females and two males, as well as two of them are African and the other two appeared to be Jewish of sorts with mixed British descent. Though the African teen male seemed to be injured when he looked to be limping slightly and leaning on the African girl for support. Finally, the children revealed to be three Asians but one of the boys is a mix of American descent, and the baby girl in the Jewish teen girl's arms shows to be mixed African-American.

Neville is comforting and reassuring them in a nice gentle and the kindly good way so that they'll know that he and the others are good and friendly, while Clarke and Octavia watched by the doorway of the garage at Draco as he calmly marched towards the fallen car.

Both girls thought that there's no way Draco would be able to take on that small horde of Night-Sky Terrors as they fly around and try to get at their prey trapped inside the upside-down SUV but then the blond mage revealed that it's not just one sword he had hidden sheathed in his cane--for the truth is that he has two of them.

Actually, Draco transformed the black wooden cane into another sharp sword as he wields the two melee-bladed weapons in both hands.

With one of them charged up with his own magic, he slashed, stabbed, struck cutting spells, cast hexes, and made slicing swings at the Night-Sky Terrors upon noticing him coming in a calm composed stride.

They couldn't help but stare wide-eyed and mouths gaping open in shock and wonder as Draco maneuvered his way to get to the survivors at the fallen car with such ease as he swings and struck with his double swords right at the small flying monsters trying to attack him but then they all got killed by his two swift blades.

"Oh wow...it's official! That--was totally EPIC!" Octavia exclaimed in impressed awe.

Clarke nodded dumbly in agreement as she murmured aloud but not meaning to because she meant to mutter by herself. "It's almost like he came out straight from Tolkien's and Riordan's novels combined himself!"

Octavia turned to her and gave her a sly smile as she whispered in inquiry. "Do you mean the books or the movies?"

Clarke blushed brightly upon realizing that she's been caught when she got heard by Octavia beside her and she tried to avoid answering back by ignoring her, which, unfortunately, only amused her and made her give knowing looks further.

It didn't take long for Draco to dispatch and kill some of the Night-Sky Terrors attacking at him very easily and with no difficulty or problems at all incoming, such as the giant mantis monsters that seem to be sleeping wherever they are in the deep eerily silent forests over there and he did quick work into casting a blasting hex to blow all the remaining Terror monsters away from the fallen car and used magic to vanish the broken glass completely, as he didn't want to shatter them by hand or weapon so that the possible surviving occupants inside would get hurt by the sharp glass pieces or shards.

Much to Draco's relief, the survivors inside are still alive and unhurt, besides the fact that they were just rattled and a little shaken upon their vehicle tossed by the monsters and being flipped around until they're upside down but luckily, they were wearing their seat belts to prevent them from getting injured.

And also fortunate for Draco, the survivors in there are only two of them, one female teenager and one little girl who looked to be six or seven years old. It appeared that these two have been watching the whole time when Draco was coming to rescue them, as the female child was staring at him with wonder-filled starry eyes and the female teen is looking at him in wide-eyed shock.
