Chapter 7

It was last period and Noah had to go through the worst class:

History.

"So, these Muslims defeated the noble Rodrigo, which was easy because..."-said Mr Modine.

Modine's voice was circling through Noah's head

It sounded like a "Bla bla" to him

What did Mr Modine have to make everyone fall asleep?

With his eyes mid-open, Noah looked at his surroundings:

The whole class had the same vibe. Heads laying on the table, hands on chins, people staring at the ceiling ...

History class was not a good subject to have as a last class of the day on a Wednesday

Then, Noah looked at Zach:

The dark-haired boy had actually fallen asleep behind his book.

Noah did a face-palm, how could he fall asleep so quickly? He wanted to wake him up, but he knew Mr Modine would find out. Besides, it would make too much noise.

Noah just hoped Mr Modine didn't notice his best friend sleeping in his class. He would probably kick him out.

"Zach wouldn't be able to be in a library with all the silence" - thought Noah

When would Mr Modine stop talking?

Noah had been in the school for 3 weeks, but he already knew History was going to be his least favorite subject, as it had always been.

Lastly, Noah looked at Y/N

Noah thought Mr Modine's sleeping voice didn't work on the smart people, but he was wrong. Y/N also looked tired.

She was looking at the ceiling. Probably making crazy scenarios in her head.

(at least that's what Noah always did when he was bored)

"Im going to be stuck here forever"-thought Noah

And then, the bell rang.

"HOLY SH-!! " - shouted Zach.

The bell had awakened him up

"At least I didn't have to wake him up"-thought Noah again

"Well, guys" - said Mr Modine - "You can go now, but it's important for you to remember that our first exam will be next week. Make sure to study"

The students started tidying , but Zach was still confused

"BRO, WHAT HAPPENED??" - asked Zach scratching his neck

"Dude, you actually fell asleep"-replied Noah

"Oh God..." - said Zach - "Did I??"

"Yeah" - laughed Noah

"Anyways... What did Mr Modine say? I didn't hear him" - asked Zach

"He said we were going to have an exam next week." - replied Noah

"Oh, great, that's amazing... Another exam..." - said Zach sarcastically

"Yup... What's in the exam by the way?" - asked Noah

"I don't know dude, Mr Modine said from page 1 to 20..."- said Zach

"Wait a minute, 20 pages you said??"-said Noah

"Yeah.. But I suppose the texts aren't that long, right?" - said Zach

"Let me check" - replied Noah

Noah took his History book

"Woah!" - struggled Noah - " Not gonna lie, this book is heavy as hell "

As Zach nodded, Noah placed the book on the desk and looked at the 20 pages

Noah was terrified

"Oh my-" - said Noah

Zach looked at him confused

"What's wrong, dude? -asked Zach

"HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO STUDY ALL OF THIS? " - replied Noah mind blown

Noah showed the texts to Zach

"Mr Modine has gone mad!" - said Zach, looking at the thunderstrucked Noah

"I don't know what I'm going to do..."-said Noah hopeless

"I'll try to do my best, but, hey, maybe you can study with someone to help you" - said Zach

"Like a study partner?" - asked Noah

"Yeah, kinda. You should ask someone. Definitely not me. You wouldn't concentrate" - said Zach

"Hmm... That's actually not such a bad idea..." - said Noah

Just when Noah said that, his eyes looked towards the girl tidying up her stuff.

"Stay here" - said Noah to Zach

Noah walked towards the girl and his mouth opened:

"Hey Y/N!" - said Noah

"Oh, hey Noah!" - said Y/N, looking at Noah - "What's up?"

"Well, this might sound like a weird thing but..." - mumbled Noah - "We have a History exam next week... "

"Yup" - replied Y/N

"And, as there are lots of pages, I was wondering if you could help me study? I thought you were the right person. But it's totally understandable if you don't want to!" - muttered Noah

"Why did I talk like that?" thought Noah

"Well, actually..." - said Y/N - "I can help you!"

Noah was surprised. He thought Y/N would say no.

"Wait-really?" - asked Noah

"Well, yeah! My application exam is not until May, so I can help you. Also, if you need it, I can help you throughout the year" - replied the girl

Noah was mind blown

"Wait OMG really? Wow! Thank you so much!!!!" - said Noah happily

"Np" - said Y/N smiling

Y/N took her stuff and left the classroom

"Bye guys!" - said Y/N  to Zach and Noah

The two boys waved at her

After she left, Zach looked at Noah and some words came out of his mouth

"Hey Y/N... OMG thank you so much. I'm Noah and I have a crush on you I love you" - said Zach "imitating" Noah

"God Zach!! Cut it off! It's not true!!"-replied Noah

Zach laughed

"HAHA Okay okay..." - said Zach

Noah and Zach said goodbye to each other and left the classroom to go home after a long day.
