My Imposter

"As to when I infiltrated inside? Let's say since the day one." White confessed.

Hearing this Red felt a burden was released from his shoulder, he really did like the White from day one. White was White, there was no one else.

That was the only information he wanted. White's first sentence just went in his right ears then out through the left ear. He didn't even think about it. All he could think about is replaying the images of White looking like a lost child since the day they met in the training center until they set off to space. That person, the one he fell for, was the same person from the start.

He felt so overwhelmed.

White was waiting for a response but the person in front was like physically present but mentally absent. His mind was obviously drifting to who-knows-where. White was about to provoke him again when Red heaved a sigh, like a burden was lifted from his mind, then his knees went limp. Red felt faint, his energy all drained. This day, his heart and mind went to a coaster ride, full of ups and down.

However, just before he was about to hit the floor, a pair of strong arms caught him.

White, realizing that Red was on the verge of being fainting, his body acted on instinct and immediately caught him. Looking closely at the other's face, he could see that he was pale, and obviously tired. White didn't know whether to laugh or to cry. This person on his arms, once again messed up his plans, his resolve, his mind. 

White carried Red all the way to the med bay in a bridal-style, thinking about one thing along the way.

'Maybe Red will understand his mission. Maybe they can have a new start at his home planet. Maybe things will turn out good.'

Staring at the sleeping man, his lashes casting a shadow, somehow, White couldn't help but think that this person lying down was a lifeless person. And that thought alone made his whole body tremble. Realizing that if Red really died, he won't be able to see his gentle smile and feel his gentle touch again. Same as if he died, he won't have a chance to his beloved again. 

White couldn't help but laugh at himself for being an idiot. For thinking that one of them has to disappear. That one of them needs to sacrifice to let the other live. He realized that there's a third option and that is to find a solution and live together. It might be hard, but White was sure that love  wins in the end.

"I'm sorry, for being selfish. I knew it, I can't let you go." White said while gently caressing Red's sleeping face.

Then he slowly leaned towards Red, their foreheads touching each other. There nose brushing against the other, White sincerely and lowly whispered with closed eyes.

"I love you."

After making sure that Red was comfortable and tucked in bed, and also checking if the IV drops are properly working, White made his way to the Communications. He is planning to contact his commander. He knew that what he was about to say was outrageous but this is the only, he at least needs to try it before dismissing the idea.

However, he couldn't reach Air Ship that was suppose to be waiting for him.

This situation made him very confuse. The convoy was suppose to go back to the Imperial Planet for at least about 60 more hours. But despite the confusion, White just threw it at the back of his mind and decided to just try again later. 

He then went back to Red's side, taking care of him dearly.

At the convoy Air Ship.

The commander was in a bad mood, the communication suddenly broke down and they couldn't contact anyone.

Code 015, "Commander, should we just go to Code 002 through the space pods?"

Code 057 immediately seconded.

Having these two, who was also Code 002's fellow fleetmates, he was finally convinced to let them check on Code 002, "You two go and make him comeback immediately." He said like he was impatient but the truth was he was also worried about Code 002's well-being. 

The two elite powerhouses saluted their commander and went away.

"Well that was easy." Code 057 said, both hands on his head acting very playful and lazy.

"Indeed, but that's also good. It means that the commander trusts us. Now it's time to finish our second secret mission....Dispose Code 002." Code 015 vilely said with a grin on his face. The time has come to throw all the bumps on his way to success. And right now, the biggest wall to him was someone called Code 002.

Yes, since long ago, he envied Code 002 for his fighting prowess, he was even deemed as a one in a million genius. Being the only son of the former 1st fleet's chief commander, he was on the spotlight as soon as he was born. After his father honorably died fighting for his country, his son was adopted by His Majesty and was sent to the military to train, receiving a single-digit code in the process.

Having a one digit code means one is extremely talented and gifted. 

Code 015 really wanted to take the limelight, but as long as Code 002 exist, he will just remain as the number 2, always staying at the other's shadow. But now his chance has came.

Luckily he got acquainted to the newly appointed Chief commander of the 7th fleet. He was ambitious, and he was resolved to replace the 1st fleet. And the first step was to take the 1st fleet's most powerful forces under them. And that is Code 002. Disposing of him will definitely be a big loss. They couldn't face the 1st fleet's Chieftain right now, they couldn't afford to offend him nor offend the Royal Family but once the 1st fleet lose their value, then they will immediately fall to the abyss.

And the mission of sabotaging the Earthian's space exploration was the best timing they could ask for. They felt that the goddess was smiling upon them. They couldn't let go of this chance.

Code 015 and Code 057 finally reached the space pods and went inside. Making their way through the vastness of the galaxy and to the Skeld.

White who was the target of the so-called second mission was oblivious of the impending danger upon them.

Author's note: I'm beat! I literally stayed up late to write this. I was afraid that I might forget all the ideas if I procrastinate. Anyway, love you all.
