╔═.✾. ═════════════ Being apart of the Fatui was...interesting to say the least. I was able to rank up to being just under the harbingers, so I was constantly sent out to work alongside them. This proved how strong I was and how I was reliable. I made sure to do my tasks seriously because I did not want to anger any of my higher ups.
This time I was sent to Liyue with Childe. Now I've worked with him before and I knew how he tended to act. Depending on the situation he'd take his work seriously, but most of the time he was aloof. Which I doubt this time would be different. Yet it didn't matter, because due to his carefree nature, people were more gullible towards him. So it was always a win in our end.
Yet this mission was slightly different.
We were supposed to collect the debt of a wealthy man who owed us up to 30,000 mora. The plan was for me to go in and basically seduce him if he didn't cooperate right away. I couldn't help but let out a sigh at the thought. This really wasn't my forte, I was better at writing contracts or fighting. Yet I do what I have to do.
"Okay (y/n)," Childe said with a grin. "I've given you many examples so I'm sure this mission will go smoothly."
That's right, Childe was a flirty little bastard with me. He wouldn't waste an opportunity to try and make me blush. It got to me at first, yet I grew used to his constant flirting and it didn't affect me much...at least on the outside. I grew to like him more than a subordinate should like their superior, yet I couldn't help it when my boss had no shame.
"It's almost like you've been training me for this," I grumbled with a frown. The clothes I wore were tighter than what I was used to, and I couldn't help but shift uncomfortably. He let out a chuckle and patted me on the back.
"You always find a way to make me laugh," He grinned down at me. "I know you got this, just shine that pretty smile of yours and he'll be giving you that money in no time, but if things go sour I'm right outside listening in."
I gave him a nod and took in a deep breath to calm myself. I got this. I knocked on the door that separated me and the wealthy man (we set an appointment to meet up) and he called for me to come in. I walked in and took a seat across from him.
"Hello Mr. Ichiro," I greeted politely. "I'm here to discuss the repayment of the loan we gave you."
"Yes," The old man across from me nodded. "I'm surprised such a beautiful young wo/man is being sent out to take care of such a task."
I felt myself get irked at the comment but kept it to myself, "I've been in the Fatui since I was 13 and earnestly made my way up in the ranks."
"I see," He replied. "Is there...any other way I could pay off this debt?"
I raised an eyebrow, smirking in a hopefully seductive way, "And what ways were you thinking about Mr. Ichiro?"
He let out a disgusting cackle as he replied, "I may be old but I'm still good at many things."
"You know I can't allow that," I said with a pout. "I would get in serious trouble."
"Then think of it as interest," He grinned nastily. "You'll be able to get the money upfront and be considered even higher than you already are." I felt my skin crawl with disgust and honestly I just wanted to leave and never look back.
Suddenly the door slammed open and Childe walked in with a giant smile, and it was clearly fake.
"Thank you for your business Mr. Ichiro but my dear (n/n) and I must get going," Childe said, swiftly shutting down the previous conversation. The old man gave a light glare towards Childe but said nothing as he handed us a briefcase filled with mora.
I stood up as I was ready to book it out of here, extremely thankful to Childe for ending that. I took the briefcase as Childe wrapped an arm around my shoulders and walked us out. Once we were out of that horrid room I let a scowl I was holding back fill my face.
"What a disgusting man," I whispered out.
"I can't help but agree," Childe whispered back. "After all, you're already mine~"
I raised an eyebrow towards the red head who still held me in his firm yet gentle grasp, "When was I going to get that memo? I don't remember you asking me to be your girl/boyfriend."
"Did I not?" He asked, looking of to the side in fake thought. "Then I guess I'll ask you now, will you be my girl/boyfriend (y/n)?"
"Hmm," I hummed out in fake thought. "I don't know..." Looking over towards him, I got a puppy dog look in reply. "I guess it wouldn't hurt," I said with a shy smile.
"You won't regret it," Childe smiled, giving me a kiss on the cheek. ╚═════════════.✾. ═
