"I don't think one of my greatest enemies is a baby." Clarity heard Barry's voice object down the hall. Clarity having insisted she was much to excited about the day to hold anything. Though that might have been an unfair move to make Felicity carry everything herself, Clarity-She didn't trust herself, didn't trust her powers not to ruin the decorations.
"Ehh," Harry's voice mixed over Cisco's. "Evil killer baby." Cisco suggested. Harry's voice took over, "could happen."
"You're right." Barry agreed with a nod.
"But really it's not the baby's fault." Clarity spoke up walking into the room. "Clearly that's all just bad parenting. Bet they hate you speeding down their street everyday. I'm sure we could guide the little one down the right path."
"Clarity!" Barry grinned racing over to give her a hug. "Haven't seen you in forever. I'm so glad your here. Welcome back"
"Alright out of the way speedy mcFlash, you calll that a hug? Please." Cisco walked out from behind the computer scooping her up into his arms spinning her around. "Haha, there is my glitch!" But when he set her down he didn't pull back right away. This hug he seemed to be savoring. "Been worried sick about you. Never scare us like that again."
"Sorry Cisco...I...never meant to make anyone worry. I just..." Clarity trailed off not exactly sure what to say. How to express just how desperate she was for these powers to be put to rest. She'd been willing to die to make that happen. A part of her still was, but another part of her told her she'd scared her friends and those she loved enough. They didn't understand and deep down Clarity knew they likely never would. The legends didn't seem to listen to her plight, they didn't even seem to care. They cared about her taking care of herself, sure, but not about the fact that she had powers. It wasn't a problem to them, but it was to her. It really was to her. They didn't try to understand. If that team didn't care, really why would this one? They'd had years to make a meta cure. But still nothing, because they were happy being meta's. Looking down at one of her hands where lightning crackled. Clarity wasn't happy, being metahuman wasn't all it was cracked up to be. Her powers...god was she sick of having them.
"Ah say no more." He pulled back hand resting on her shoulders. "You are coming out with the guys tonight. Honorary bachelor-ette. We'll get you a nice big steak, mashed potatoes, those fancy green parsley leaves sprinkled on top. You can drink the good stuff stead of champagne. How does that sound?"
"Sounds like I'm intruding on guys night." Clarity replied with a shake of her head.
"It's not intruding if the groom invites you."Barry protested pulling her into a side hug. "And you my beloved hero partner of old." Barry tapped her nose with his pointer finger. "Are welcome to join."
"Thank you, Barry, but I know you and Iris want to keep things traditional so, I'll Uh stick with the bridal party." Clarity replied.
"You sure? Cisco can expand the reservation no problem." Barry assured her.
"I'm sure." Clarity nodded. "This is your night, you enjoy it with the guys. Besides it would be bad form to ditch the bride to be."
"Okay." Barry nodded sharing a look with Cisco who shrugged.
"Good choice." Harry finally spoke up.
"Harry." Clarity paused, taking two steps back gulping as she came face to face with Harry. Who just so happened to have the face her rapist speedster stalker psycho was wearing when he tricked her for a year and had his way with her the first time. It took her a second to remind herself Thawne truly was erased.
"Springs." Harry greeted sticking out his hand. Knowing full well a hug wasn't something he'd get from her. Not that he even really wanted one. Clarity tapped her pointer finger to the side of his hand. He let it drop. Good enough.
