"Let's get you out of those-" the doors to the truck opened. "-on second thought hang tight."
Clarity leapt out of the truck springing at Amunet, but got sucker punched halfway to her by tentacle guy. She rolled right at Felicity and Iris's feet. Who were both armed with a cold gun and another gun respectively.
"Hey guys, glad you made it." Clarity stood up as soldiers circled them.
"Hey, Amunet." Caitlin called walking into view. "This is between you and me. Let my friends go and I'll come back and work for you."
"Like hell you will." Clarity protested. "We can take these guys."
"You almost died trying to help me once tonight, Clarity. I won't let you do it again. If that price is my freedom, so be it. What do you say Amunet?"
"Oh. It's... it's too late for that, Caity. Do you know why no one has ever testified against me over the years, hmm? Well, it's because they're not alive to. Sorry." Amunet turned her back. "Take care of them."
"Nope." Clarity denied all of the men's guns flying together. She blasted them with her lightning. Ash raining down on the fuming Amunet like darkened snowflakes. "That's not happening and from now on you're gonna leave both Frost and Caitlin and especially this man-" Clarity pointed to the weeper. "Alone. All that power and you just use it to hurt people so you can profit."
"You insufferable nameless cockroach. Norvak. Forget the others. Kill her first. She needs to learn how business is supposed to work." Amunet glared.
"No!" Caitlin screamed an icy blast of frost shooting out of her mouth. Killer Frost emerged from the mist.
"Well, hello, Chilly." Amunet complained.
"We gotta get out of here." Felicity told Clarity going to run behind Frost with Caitlin but Clarity wouldn't budge.
"What are you doing? We have to go!" Felicity told her pointing to Iris and Killer Frost. "Calvary is here, hello!"
"I'm not leaving without him." Clarity denied nodding to the weeper. "You go," Clarity eyed Amunet. "I'm stronger than she is. Unlike her, I won't run out ammo."
"And I thought I wasn't going to be able to kill anyone today." Amunet dropped her bag of shards. "I've changed my mind. You boys kill them two. I'll kill this one first then it's onto Frosty."
"You won't have the chance to get to her." Clarity denied clenching her fists lightning whirring.
"We'll see darling." Amunet replied. "We'll see."
The two's fight began as Amunet shot some shards at her. Clarity countered with her lightning. The two magnetism users battling it out. A bomb blast from amunet blew out a wall, Clarity glitched to avoid it and their fight moved outside. Clarity expected what she landed in was gravel, except when her hand sunk into it she found it was soft.
"....sand?" She wondered looking at the black sand underneath her. Though she didn't have time to observe it as more shards came flying at her. She quickly threw a hand up to create a lightning shield but curiously this black sand did not turn to glass as it usually did when clarity's lightning made contact instead it followed the lightning stream arching up to create a another small crescent shield before it plopped back down as her lightning dissipated.
Curiously Clarity twisted her wrist and the iron sand shot to her hand following the lightning that crackled there. It was so fuzzy feeling but in a good way. This time she countered using both her lightning and the sand to stop the shard balls coming at her. The sand was able to weasel their way into the fine cracks break them apart as her lightning held them in place. The shards going flying past Clarity disintegrating in a lightning shield lit up behind her, the black sand sifting and shifting along it.
